My friend just tried that route a couple of days ago and he said it is really bad once you go past Lavasa.

I too did that route 2 days back .. found it to be decent ..
And Panshet-Sinhgad stretch is also in really good shape..

I was there on both days of last weekend man.. those are among my fav areas.. but, apart from the main roads heading to Panshet, most other roads are bad,.. lots of gravel roads in that area .. add some 1ft deep water crossing if you want..

looks like this conversation was more in tune for good roads.. if you want good (decent--but not lavasa like) roads you guys could instead head towards dive-ghat .. saswad area .. fairly decent roads there.. you could still do some cornering on the ultrawide diveghat.. and come back through bopdev..

Dive ghat is the old Katraj ghat that connects to the road to mahableshwar (NH17) from Katraj. You then cut through Narayanpur and Saswad to get to the Bopdev ghat, which connects to Kondwha Gaon.

Err.. sorry .. partly correct, partly wrong..

Diveghat, Bopdev-ghat, Katraj (old tunnel) and katraj (new tunnel) are all parallel to each other (in that order).. Diveghat is not old the old katraj tunnel road.. Diveghat connects Pune to Saswad, you can approach it from Hadapsar rd. or from the bypass linking Satara-rd. junction (where satara rd meets the bypass).. have you guys been to stinkflats ?.. if you have.. follow that road to the end (T-junction) and take a right.. that's goes to Diveghat.. if you took a right at the previous junction, that'd go to Bopdev
