hi we would be meeting this wednesday(18th) on usaual time n place..this meet would be an important one as we would be discussing and finalising some issues about probable Ride to Goa or Track ..confirmation and details of meet would be conveyed through sms channel...

Requesting all the members to be present on Wednesday 18th November so that we can discuss and finalize the Track day or the Goa Trip.

24th Eve: Start from pune and cover half the distance stay at some sasta place for the nite.

25th: By morning 10 reach goa.

25th afternoon: explore goa

25th night: party

26th: explore goa

27th: explore goa

28th: ride back

if u gonna take the road via nippani, ajra route, ambolim ghats and then enter goa u will save a lot on timing as from baner to old goa church via that route is 560kms, i had travelled last month and the road from sadanand to nippani is good, i covered the entire route in 8 hours @ speed of 80 km in car, though the road is bad from nippani bypass till amboli ghat but you may find lot of beautiful places for photography and you can also get good rest houses in ambolim and sawantwadi.

And hey book cottages or your rest houses in advance or later the rates are sky rocketting

inder if you start early morning like 6 am it will be good so you can reach kolhapur by 12pm as those dates the highways are full as maximum people travel on that route and then you will face unnecessary jams and all. if you go with average break of 2 hours in the entire journey you can easily reach by 3pm. its better if you can hunt some staying place in south goa away from the beach or you will end up paying high amount of room rent, if any one of you is son of a government servant or working as a govt servant than one can get govt rest houses also which are quiet cheap

pune----Kolhapur---Gaganbavda---vaibhavvadi--kankavli--kudal---sawantwadi--pernem

Gagan bavda is a hill station where you can have lunch, liquor and accomodation also.

While gng from vaibhav vadi, there is a water fall called napni, 25 kms inside from the main highway. its a remote area u will get good food and accomodation

u can also enjoy teracole near sawantwadi, its close by from there.

My PLAN :

24th: Start by 10 PM & reach Goa by 8 AM, 25th Dec (night riding is fun, risky though)

25th afternoon: Chill out @ Baga & rest(sleep for 2-3 hrs.)...

25th night: Start partying @ 8 PM till you guys can stand...

26th: explore goa. Night, go to some big BASH like Bacardi or something.

27th: explore goa

28th: ride back

Not advisable route. been through the same route 2 months back, the road that connects Amboli Ghats to Panjim is in most f****d-up condition & very dangerous during Night time. Its a total off-roading of around 60+kms.
So even if we night stay before Amboli ghats & start riding on 25th morning, it'll be very tiring n will chew-up most of our time to reach Panjim, say around 4-5 hrs. if we dont stop for a Motography n thats impossible with Me around

@Spidey: Thanks for chippin in man. We are avoiding night riding as it is risky and we do have some relatively new tourers in the pack.

@Inder: too bad, tiktik had to get the HID out...else the 220 and the 200 would have lit everythin in sight.
