Now initially I was very reluctant on getting parts replaced. But then once I understood the process it felt very simple and I was at considerable ease. While replacing the parts your bike undergoes the same assembly process which it undergoes when it comes out the factory. You buy new parts...assemble them together and the bike is on its feet again.
Much like chaging the Motherboard, CPU, RAM and every other thing in a PC is not repairing but replacing the PC in its true essence.
Troubleshooting with superbikes is very simple and an error is dignosed electronically with rapidity and precision.
I imported the parts. Parts are available in India but my bike is legal so didnt want to put in parts of illegal bikes in it.
Like a dilligent citizen I ended up paying for the import, tax, duty, and postal for the parts. Within 8 days they get couriered to you and then its you and your mechanic.
What did it cost me ? Haha...it costed me what another legal supersport will cost anyone who stays in this part of the world. Thats why the accident sucked ! The good part is...they are all high performance racing parts...none of the OEM thingy..this bike will be more race prepped than what it was before the crash. And guys...guess what the new fairing colour is ?
