Had an amazing ride.. with a cracked silencer pipe, sounding like a luna... :P
It was 8 when we started , and came back by 10 pm..
spending time at a few spots..

Getting off the road in Shanghai

hey guys.

there is a bikers forum in shanghai called as MyChinaMoto.com - Chinese Community, Forum and News - Front Page

I got to join them in one of the good offroading bikes here (obviously pillion). its called the Shineray XY250GY

a true blue dirt bike. an awesome machine. I cant upload the pics with on the bike since its illegal to ride a bike in shanghai without a driving liscense (i mean its not the "indian illegal". its strictly illegal and if caught riding without a liscense, one could also be deported for more than 3 offenses)

I had a chance to ride it off the road (which is still illegal so cant upload those pics also)

its a brilliant bike. luckily, I could not crash it (for obvious reasons). but its got bags of touque and lots of power for such a light bike. it wheelies easily.

the owner had guts to lend me his bike for about 5 mins (after that my bowels could not take it anymore )

all in all, a brilliant bike. I have riden the zma but this is so much fun. lots of dirt to kiss and lots of it to take to the hospital if you still dont grasp the respect for this bike.

actually, i got to know of this ride just a day earlier so had to figure out wheere these guys were meeting up, had to get someone to volunteer for offering his pillion seat for me. I forgot to charge the cell phone so not many pics taken from the event.

How is the 'Road' condition at Tamhini?

50% potholes with good patches of tarmac in between.

that means it is in good condition

actually in absolue terms, the condition is worse than last year. been there 2 months ago and condition was brilliant for the offroaders.

@sharan, are you thinking of mumbai via tamhini?

Small change in the route, we didn't ride it on NH17 on our way back to Khopoli, in fact we came from Khopoli Pali road which intersect NH17 & then rode on NH17 to reach Shilphata, Khopoli. Let me transfer the GPS data to Google...
Nice ride...if we would have left early then it was possible to cover at least 2 big falls on this road, Padsare & Zenith..may be some other time...

CAN ANYone plz suggest a good place to check wheel alignment of ZMR rear wheel... its haunting me... the approx cost also..

Dude you too....i think the khopoli stretch has F*ked all our rims.The ninja took a hit. I had a doubt about mine, checked it ,its fine.

Well,you can check it yourself by parking it on the main stand and krishna was mentioning a place to get it checked.consult him.

Well, not exactly , Would be going to Malvan and Devgad.
Might use Bhor, Kashedi route instead then. Tamhini was dreadful last year, post monsoons.
