hey guys, today when i went to arco automobiles in swargate to purchase an APE RR unit, a guy approached me asking "are you from xbhp", then we had a small chat. he was from mumbai and he said he was a member since 2004 or something, then he somehow lost his password and since then not active on xbhp. now he has shifted to pune and wanted to get in touch with xbhpians once again. i think he mentioned that he had met noor and sunny long time back. his name is ryan. since he wanted to be a part of xbhpians once again and wanted to meet us and since i have never come for the get togethers in pune that you guys do every week on FC road, i think next time you guys do a meet-up, please call him to check if he is interested, his number is 9833237363.

The easiest way for him would be to login by creating new ID. It takes couple of minutes. So tbh, I don't think that he is very serious about meeting others.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posthe was from mumbai and he said he was a member since 2004 or something, then he somehow lost his password and since then not active on xbhp. now he has shifted to pune and wanted to get in touch with xbhpians once again. i think he mentioned that he had met noor and sunny long time back. his name is ryan. since he wanted to be a part of xbhpians once again and wanted to meet us and since i have never come for the get togethers in pune that you guys do every week on FC road, i think next time you guys do a meet-up, please call him to check if he is interested, his number is 9833237363.Never argue with an idiot. Prince, one doesn't need to login to read posts here. He can easily read about G2G's here and attend one. Also, you have already made the info public by posting on a public forumOriginally posted by princesirohi View Posthey guys, today when i went to arco automobiles in swargate to purchase an APE RR unit, a guy approached me asking "are you from xbhp", then we had a small chat. he was from mumbai and he said he was a member since 2004 or something, then he somehow lost his password and since then not active on xbhp. now he has shifted to pune and wanted to get in touch with xbhpians once again. i think he mentioned that he had met noor and sunny long time back. his name is ryan. since he wanted to be a part of xbhpians once again and wanted to meet us and since i have never come for the get togethers in pune that you guys do every week on FC road, i think next time you guys do a meet-up, please call him to check if he is interested, his number is 9833237363.

Trip to Nashik
Hi Guys,
Am leaving on a trip to Nashik this weekend and would like to know hows the road conditions from Pune to Nashik. Also the approx time required to do a Nashik. Any possible stuff i should keep in mind?
Have been to Narayangaon a couple of years ago and it reminded me of driving in Kerala!! No dividers, cars running you out of the road and overtaking on every corner
.
Tourers plz advice. Am going on the NInja so please advice on any major putlas (read potholes
) i should be wary of. This is a season of bent rims, would hope to avoid that
Thanks in advance!!http://www.californiasuperbikeschoolindia.blogspot.com

Distance would be appoximately 180 kms and I have done it on my unicorn in 4 hrs liesurely taking breaks. But antz has done the same in 2.5 hrs (Not sure of exact number) Ther is an alternate route via nagar road which i have never tried
Drive safe,
Pai
P.S
Stuff to keep in mind:
1. Dont miss the tea at the hotel just below the chandanpuri ghats (Ask him to put some extra lemon grass)
2. This road is not safe for 3 digit run ups as compared to NH4 as you would find loads of interuptions like cattle gazing, jumping idiots etc !
3.Once in nashik do try out kantakkiii !Last edited by kartikpai; 08-11-2011, 12:59 PM.Into hibernation mode .

I had rode via sangamner till delhi phata and the roads were quiet good. further i took my route to shirdi from the junction but overall roads were good and cross winds were mind blowing.Originally posted by JAKRAP View PostHi Guys,

First of all, it is more like 210km. I did the road thrice last month (but in a Car). Anyways, The road till Rajgurunagar is 4-lane.. so no issues uptill there but this road is a perpetually high traffic route, with lots of villages and factories in between (villages = pedestrians = Jaywalkers, factories = trucks). Further, After crossing the depressingly bad (but thankfully short) stretch of road Bang inside Rajgurunagar, the road condition improves, but for the rest of the route, all you can expect is 2/2.5 lanes. There will be about a dozen short ghats en route to keep the journey interesting. Post Ale-phata, the traffic is sparse all the way till Sinner(Barring Sangamner town traffic) and aids in swift progress. The no. of potholes is actually very low. i.e. The road is much better than Kerala Roads.(As of now)Originally posted by JAKRAP View PostHi Guys,

As I said earlier, the traffic is extremely high, so if you want to save some time, try to start from Pune around 5:45/6:00.
WARNING(Purposely in ALL CAPS): Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL After you pass the Post Sinnar ghat.(Nasik Road < 15km remaining) The traffic in this area is extremely high with a high probability that a careless pedestrian will jump onto you (happened to me on my 1st Pune-Nasik ride)
And, for the record, My best time on this stretch is 2hrs 40 minutes Non Stop. But I was in a Hurry that day. The usual time is 3:30/4hours.
The suggestion is to take a stop post Chandanapuri Ghat (13ish km before Sangamner as Karthik told above)
There is an alternate route which I took on the car.. But it was Via Thane and around 90km extra but took the same amount of time (Since I could use the E-Way).
P.S.: The crosswinds have never worried me much since the P220 is considerably stabler than (Shrinath's
) R15 in cross-winds. No idea about Ninja though..
