i completly understand that buddy.Originally posted by BANDHAVWhat i said sherry is something more of genaralize opinion rather than just mine.
I do understand the fact the people who were there in the ride will just love this photos as this is the easiest way to revive the lovely time they had and i am not saying the the pics are bad but frame after frame you guys have clicked nothing but your ownself. You guys just wasted the opportunities those beautiful vistas provided you with. The kind of pics you guys have clicked could have easily been clicked in and around delhi too.
Something on the lines of No1lives4ever & few of the LP pics could have done the wonders to this thread.
there is a reason why i clicked such pics...
i wanted to keep the memory of these vistas with bikers in them.
all the pics i have here has some special memories and people in the pics prove that we were there.
Beleive me the time that we had with us did not give us the privilege of stopping and then clicking the pics. Lp and no1 was already on the duty of clicking pics so i started pics with riders.
if we had more time then i'm sure you would also loved the pics.

After having been to these hills a lot of times, I would say that no picture can do justice to the views.. Most pictures end up looking great when you take them, but once you review the prints, slides or on the computer you find that most of them are pretty crap.. Or is this something only I have felt about most of the himalyas??Originally posted by BANDHAVI do understand the fact the people who were there in the ride will just love this photos as this is the easiest way to revive the lovely time they had and i am not saying the the pics are bad but frame after frame you guys have clicked nothing but your ownself. Getting good pictures of the hills requires that you spend some time to find good locations and be at the locations at the right time.. Mostly when we are riding, we are along places during the middle of the day and during that time the pictures mostly turn up flat and looking extremely boring..
As a general rule, most landscape photographers reach a location, wake up early click photos around sunrise, go to sleep during the midday or shift location and then click photos again around sunset.. It is very rare to find good photos during mid days if you are looking at nature photography..
So this leaves the photographer with no option other than to click something other than the views if one is looking for decent photos..

The schedule for this trip was such that I could barely get myself to wake up at 8am once we got to shimla, so I could not get any sunrise pics that day.. Would have definitely loved to get a few..I do not think anyone in the group was upto the task of getting up for sunrise shots..Originally posted by Aryan View Post@no1: So, did you guys try and catch the sunrise/ sunset waking up at perhaps odd hours of the day? I do see a couple of sunset pictures, but I don't remember seeing any sunrise pictures.
For the sunset photo I posted, I managed to grab a few shots when we were on our way to Shimla from Chail.. I was quite lucky to be at that spot just at the right time.. 2-3 mins more and I would have missed the sunset..
While on NH1, we were mostly scrambling forward, leaving almost no time to choose a proper spot for sunrise or sunset photos...

Moderator Message:
Wow! After the wonderful trip that you all had, now it is argument time regarding bloody what pictures one must have clicked. Pathetic, I say! Why spoil all the good memories over some vistas, etc. One can always go back there and click as much different 'subjects' as they want.
Atleast we should be thankful that there are so many pictures from so many members, unlike G2G after G2G where we don't even get ANY text, forget pictures!
@all: Post more pictures if anyone has more. I am, atleast, loving the pictures.
@Anant: Last warning, one more such gross OT from you and you are staring at an infraction. Period.:)
