Re: 5th Anniversary ISG2G - Wayanad
It would not make justice if I just mention few names that I know to convey my appreciation for making this year meet a grand success. There might be many whom would have helped in many ways that I'm not aware. So a big thank you to KL members and you guys did a tremendous job on the arrangements despite last minute change of resort.
My feedback:-
Resort - very beautiful.
Stay - excellent

Re: 5th Anniversary ISG2G - Wayanad
XBHP-InterState Meet @ WAYANAD
WOW... what a ride it has been....
We ride different machines, we come from different states, we have different cultures.... BUT what unites us every year is the fine thread of Brotherhood which we share...
This year also, the XBHP InterState Meet was an exciting event. I must appreciate the organizers for arranging a fantastic place to stay. The choice of Wayanad as the base for this year’s InterState Meet is 100% justified with the serene nature which you will be enjoying in this area of Western Ghats. I am sure that everyone enjoyed the pollution free environment over there in Wayanad.
From Bangalore, we started our ride around 6:00 AM. Safety Briefing was done by kinZ and Aadi and the team was really fantastic. Kawasaki, Enfield, Pulsar, Yamaha, Duke, Suzuki & Karizma were all bonded together.
We had a very relaxed ride and we got company from XBHP-CBE Team who was waiting at Gundlupet. Nature was at it’s best in the Western Ghats and the roads were really superb.
Since the resort was on the banks of a river named ‘Nool Puzha’, we could listen to the music of nature round the clock.
The ride to ‘Destination X’ on the main ride day was filled with fun as the local boys were waiving their hands, few taking videos in their Mobiles. The XBHP Convoy of 70+ Motorbikes was a treat to them.
We the XBHP Bangalore Team made good use of rest of the day by visiting ‘Karapuzha Dam’. On this ride, we used PPS (People Positioning System) to locate the Dam and we took a de-tour around the dam as we reached little late. Security Personal had stopped the entry to the Dam as we were late. However, the detour was a great experience as it involved a little bit of Off Roading. Even a Kawasaki Ninja did a bit of Off Roading. The view of catchment area of the Dam was a treat to the eyes.
With a heavy heart we started our journey back to our normal life on the third day. The ride through the Forest Area was a treat. We really enjoyed the ride. These memories will be preserved in our mind.
Now... let the Photos do the talking.....

I'm not the person to answer that.. since I am in the dark too .Originally posted by Legend Racer View PostHow did the 1st resort got cancelled? acs1207
The reg fee not justified...? that is for the hosts to clarify. AFAIK one days rent for a normal cottage multiplied by two ( for two nights) divided by the number of occupants should come about the amount we paid. I expect the host team to come out with a detailed account ( balance sheet of the isg2g ) to be given to participants.Originally posted by 747anwarHad a good time with everyone in wayanad, the resort location was good had much privacy since we were only there.but the reg fee didn't justified the stay and food, hope its due to last time change in resorts and plans.
All in all it was organised pretty well. The last minute change of venue was a setback but the ambience and the winding roads and healthy n meaningful discussions and the weather and the sight of over 70 bikes in convoy ( stretching about half a km) pretty much made up for that.
And I really enjoyed giving lessons about 2 strokers like Yezdi, RD350 etc to the juniors.. ;-)

Re: 5th Anniversary ISG2G - Wayanad
It was explained at the G2G introduction event itself & even in the planning thread by @kochumvk post number #305. The previous resort had maintenance issues with 3-4 cottages & they only informed the O-team 2 days prior to the event. The O-team,especially @Swas /Swaroop did a hectic job of arranging another resort on time.Originally posted by acs1207 View PostI'm not the person to answer that.. since I am in the dark too .

It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

everyone appreciates the effort of so called O Team. And I feel, O Team should scan the area and give as many options possible to all, and then we can vote and decide such accommodation plans in future...But for the price all paid, was the accommodation justified? To get an answer we must get a proper break down and scanned bills with proof of everything.
And 747anwarI thought you all would join for lunch with us. We went to Indian coffee house. We were last to park hence could not locate you all...And many had already ordered lunch. I missed chat times with you, wanted to hold more talks with your team at lunch. missed...sigh...I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

way to go.

Yes i agree....if you had hired an Event Management team.
Do you know that every year the "so called O Team" spent their own money travelling to & fro to the destination just to scout the area and several hotels ? No one sponsors or reimburses them the expense for that. They choose the best available option within the budget.Same was done here and unfortunately we had last minute issues with the selected venue which was explained clearly time and time again before and during the ride.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.
