On the 21st of September, xBhpians of the Delhi chapter rode and got together to finally celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the largest motorcycling community of India.
The long pending 11th Anniversary celebrations had been waiting to happen since the team had already celebrated across the country with members during the Great India Collectors' Ride. Only the Delhi Chapter celebrations remained. And last Sunday we finally gathered at our favourite meeting spot of the city - the xBhp Dhaba to ride together and strengthen the bonds of the community.
At the very early 6 in the morning xBhpians reached the Dhaba from different corners of the city with eyes still half shut! As the bikers trickled in, they were greeted with a pleasant surprise in the form of xBhp tees for the ride. Most guys immediately went looking for a tree to change into their new attire. This was followed by the cutting of the cake ceremony with Chief Guest Deepa Malik ma'am being kind enough to grace us with her presence. We thank Puneet Mehta aka @roger for the lovely cake that was devoured in quick time!
After many chais and pieces of cake later, the riders lined up to ride from the Dhaba all the way to the Buddh International Circuit. In proper formation the group covered the 60-70 odd kms to the world class circuit. At the circuit we all admired the Freedom Motorcycle and the wonderful work that the sculptors from team Klove had done to build it. After everybody had their fill of photos of and with the Freedom Motorcycle.
Then it was a good hearty breakfast over the sound of motorcycles screaming past down the front straight of the track. There is no better way to enjoy good food than being out with friends enjoying big mean motorcycles being ridden to their very limit. As a few xBhpians got a chance to ride around the Buddh International Circuit.
At the end of the two half an hour bike sessions on the track, it was the turn for the cars to blaze the trail. Some xBhpians decided to stay on for the four wheeled wonders while others brought to end a wonderful morning of camaraderie and a renewal of the spirit of biking brotherhood in the xBhp Community.
