Guys, I hope you had a great ride. By the way, who crashed & hows he & his ride?? I saw you guys on the other side of the highway yesterday as well as today. Yesterday, you guys were seen negotiating trucks somewhere near Kamshet and today I had glimplse of two of you near Rasayani.
Even i was surprised to see Chetan, as he was supposed to stay for interview.
Chetan: Thanks for the quick reply buddy

The trip was great... enjoyed it to the core... especially the river bridge and the confluence. Hotel was awesome with full private terrace to do timepass. One hell of a riding experience on NH4 with all the experienced guys. It was hot like hell... we were literally dehydrated. Koyna has a very beautiful garden and the huge dam (though entry is prohibited) looks great.

Uploading the pics right now.... will post them in a while.

                  The Crash:
At last I crashed , it was a freak accident... and I escaped without a scratch. I toppled over a 1 by 1 foot stone in the middle of my way. We were going one-behind one in a line while crossing a toll booth... and just as Anup dodged that stone... I had almost no time for response... and hence had a good fall .
Bike's faring got some scratches... the left rear panel got some paint chippings.. and he front left indicator is missing ..., rest all is ok. The Daijya took a lot of stress and saved my head as my head unfortunately hit the milestone on the side of the road with a good force. And yes it did not crack... only some paint chippings. The DSG gloves saved my hands... the left glove is torn a bit. The Alipnestars knee guards (they are the best ) take the full credit for saving my legs, my left knee would have scraped so badly that....... I dont know how much.... my jeans is completely torn at the knee part. The jacket did not get a scratch though.... donno why.

As Chilled mentioned riding gear is very necessary and its worth investing in good riding gear. It saves you from heavy medical bills, loads of pain and many after effects.

After the crash I got up and started riding again in 2 minutes at 90+kmph

Moral of the crash: Never ride behind someone when you are on the extreme left side of the road.
^Came to know this fact after 8yrs of riding . In a way it was my fault.

@Sneh: Yup I saw (near Kamshet) you while going to Koyna on Saturday... you blinked the passer beam. I could make out by seeing your red AXO jacket.

Good one Chetan...Well all in all is an Experience and there is no denial that humans are bound to make mistake once in a while....i must say that the crash was bad but the after effects of the crash was good...u just got up and started to ride hard...that was a good sign....i was a bit worried in the beginning then i saw u negotiating traffic in a nice way.....so all was well i guess..

@ajinkya-Can you please post some of the pictures in this thread?

^^Its ok.I was just asking you to reconfirm whether its the same location or not?

I have no clue as to why photography is prohobited from various dam sites. Not giving permission to visit dams is understandable but if someone wants to click picture from a certain distance there shouldn't be any problem.
