but seriously guys, i am surprised that no one from xbhp is taking part in this. all year long all we do is crib about no tracks or events or motorsports happening and then there is this event which happens once in a year in which we can take part and all we are content to do is watch from the sidelines. I for one would like to change that and want you, xbhpians to participate in this. You can take part in this for 1500 Rs whcih frankly is what we spend on petrol on weekend rides (maybe more than one
) and all you have to do is show up and race your bikes against yourself and others. You dont have to modify your bikes for this. you dont have to spend on anything else. plus you get bragging rights for the rest of the year from the participation stickers posted on your bikes. i took part last year and i had a sticker stuck on the rear fender of my bike and guys would think twice before having traffic light drags with me (not that i would drag on road, but still) and all those guys coming up to you on signals asking you about the race and etc etc. now that i have sold off my karizma and got a new blue p200 i wont be racing that. But i am trying to arrange for a bike to race as i have some karizma weight reduction mods with me. All i did when i participated was strip my bike. You can improve your reaction times in this and see where you actually stand when it comes to accelerating your bike in a straight road which most of us, including me, claim to have perfected is put to the test. I didnt win last year. I wasnt even close, i was 10th in my category but atleast i participated and learnt something from that wonderful experience and i had a great time with my friends and family who had come to support and cheer me. They had a blast too. All i want to say is take part, you may not win but it isnt all about winning. Participating goes a long way and if you want to win, participation is the first step. There is also a wheelie category for all you stunters out there. The winner is the one who can wheelie his bike the fastest over 200 meters on the track. Take Part !

i have called up their office and talked to Noel who is in chare of organising this event and he said that they had some sponsorship issues before but now they have sorted it out and it will be at the end of this month. Hopefully this ends my and other participants dilemma about participating in Torquenite.
