gives me around 450kms-500kms for a full tank(considering 45km/ltr...which costs me approx. 900 bucks (speed)...so thats the petrol cost accordingly.

Regarding stay...

This is regarding accommodation at Ganpatipule..

As I mentioned, I am trying to contact that friend of my father...but still no success... Meanwhile..I found a hotel/lodge at Ganpatipule..Called as Atithi Lodge.. Rates are quite affordable..Rs. 300 per room for 2 people.. That means Rs. 150 per person.. Now I think that's quite low..
Hotel looked good.. with spacious rooms..

Only prob is I am not getting the correct contact number of that lodge.. I got one number but it connects to some other person. I m trying though...

DK.. any progress from ur end..?

Guys let's try to keep the accommodation costs at minimum so that we can use that extra money somewher else for better coz..

I have not ridden a bike more than 100 km in a day but I drive a car 850 plus km in a day twice or thrice a year ......will this much experience be enough or should I come for a smaller ride first & then venture for long rides.
I do not have a jacket ,so is it ok to ride without one or I have to buy one..pl inform..
also wont the jacket be very hot during summer.......
I have just bought the Aquila ....its in a good condition but does any body know a thing or two if it conks out as we all know its hard to find spares in mumbai so in Ganpatipule it may be hard to find a mechanic...

i wont be coming for any ride till the weather becomes normal.I JUST CAME BACK FROM A LONG RIDE..THE WHOLE OF KERALA IN 5 DAYS SO I AM CALM AND SETTLED FOR SOMETIME NOW

Ganpatipule the MTDC resorts are very expensive, afaik the rates are close to 2500 - 5000 rs for a AC tent. Call MTDC and check.

Reason:
Rising temp, cant take it! Yesterday was in Pune, n almost got dehydrated+burned+died+lost!
another reason to add is cash, lots of management needed for this month. But am still ok with shorter rides, within 200 kms. (total 400) something like a chill-out overnight trip to DAMAN!

@Shadow: don't worry bout the heat.. or timings.. we can start early morning.. and try to reach there by 11...

MET has predicted this week especially tomorrow to be the hottest day this month, so guys get out your sunscreen and sunglasses .
On a more serious note keep ur bike tanks covered with a cotton cloth and keep your babes parked in shades wherever possible, also keep a check on engine seals, as they are prone to get overheated and spill oil this season.
