Virus - Thats why I posted this topic 3 weeks before the meet date - so that we can discuss between ourselves and then meet according to a general consensus...

Reclamation is a very nice place to meet but there definitely will be a lil bit of crowd and cop issues might come up....

my opinion is... stick to bandra as the meeting point. am sure many would drop-out just thinking about meeting somewhere else other than bandra which is the core of our city from either directions.

also, for a good ride, we could take the mumbai-ahmedabad highway (cop-free). nice four-lane with super sexy tar roads. a good dhaba grub and the evening is set!

but meeting point; somewhere in centre of mumbai. rest can be decided after that.

also, for promoting our website, i had already designed a tee-shirt which sunny was supposed to print, but if we want, we can get em printed here in bbay and flaunt it off on our big day. Ken, ace, let me know abt this. could meet up pre-sunday and get these done.

Yes Amit - lets go with that then. The initial meeting venue is fixed at Bandra Reclamation.

We obviously will spend a while over there mingling around and getting to know each other before we set off. I dont know where the Ahmedabad highway is (I honestly suck at roads - many ppl on xBhp can vouch for me on that [:P] ). Well, eitherway, if we're gonna set off on a ride, we have to set the meeting time a lot earlier coz its no fun riding when the sun is down.

Again, as I dont know where this road is and how long the ride will be, I'd like to have inputs from guys who have already been that way and we can fix up the rendezvous time accordingly.

the ahmedabad highway begins just after mira-road(borivali-dahisar-miroad).
yes. its a bit too far cause we have to ride thru mumbai western express highway all the way to dahisar (which is 25odd kilometers from bandra)and then mira road... and the same road becomes N.H.8 which goes right up till ahmedabad.
we can ride for like 30-40kms and back. some good dhabas on the raod for refreshments.

so, the overall journey would be, thus:
bandra to dahisar check-naka - 25kms
check-naka onwards - 20kms (or lesser)
so, 45kms one side! thts 90kms of riding! wow! phew?

wht say? palm beach rood not too bad though... but cops will suk and so will the annying traffic! but not that we wont get traffic on the western expressway.

let me know. the ahmedabad highway is more than super! but too far!

we have to meet at 2:30-3:00ish.
some delays and late arrivals 3:15ish.
get to know each other by 3:50ish.
Leave at 4:00
reach the tip of the highway by 4:40 MAX. (acc. to my daily calculaitons on my caliber and still keeping 10mins buffer. lol!)
do wheelies burnouts whatever! 5:40
set for the ride of 25kms 6:00?! - u know why
again some more gee masti 7:00
goto dhaba 7:30
chat chat chat 8:30
eat eat 10:00
home 11:15 MAX
