Some pics of the ride

Small trip writeup...

The ride began at 3:45am sharp for me n mashmash. Got a call from ang that he would be waiting for us on the outer ring road just after marathalli. We rode along at decent legally acceptable speeds on the outer ring road towards marathalli. At this hour of the morning, the road is a race track for the trucks.Reached the meeting spot with Ang at 4:17am.And waited...Ang arrived around 4:30 and then the 3 of us moved on. Just a few kms before silkboard, had a scary moment. Ang got blinded by an oncoming truck's light and skidded to a stop at a sudden diversion.After that, uneventfully reached silkboard and met up with the group. From there on picked up Tanay at Jaydeva and Ericin at Jayanagar 4th block and proceeded to Banashankari bus stop for Praful. There we had our "chit-chat" with the uniformed one. Praful came along and after some instructions about the Kanakpura road, we started our ride.

Praful was leading and John sweeping. And yes, the flashes of brilliance from oncoming traffic were a tad uncomfortable for me. I am learning (next ride I shall try to get a bazooka...its GTA time !!! ) Just as daylight was breaking through, we took a break near Kanakpura. The next break was at Kanakpura for breakfast. From then on the roads were a bliss. We cruised along nicely and in formation. Next break came at Kauveri River bank. We took our rides to the river bank... jumping n bumping over loose stones!!! and then cam's were let loose!!! Lots of pics n posing for some special pics

Moved on from there and then next stop was for a viewpoint inbetween Muthati and Shivasamudram falls. This was a first offroading experience for some of us. The experienced ones showed us their skills with 2 wheels... we tried to do our best. Rolling, slipping, pushing we reached the top. Only to learn we are not allowed there and have to go back. Coming down was another lesson in biking. Right gear and just the right amount of braking saw us down safely. We rested there for some time and then moved on to Shivasamudram. Reached the falls around 10am. And then the sun decided to come out in full glory... its was after all a "Sun"day. All riding gears came off and we went near the viewing place for the falls. More clicking and some jostling around for space for clicking. The place was crowded as some cultural stuff was going on. Later we were joined by Veda and we went on to Gaganachukki fall and Barachukki fall. By this time we were getting boiled in the solar cooker. So, at all the stops we went for coconut water, water melons, more coconut water. After some more photo sessions and chit chat, it was decided to move on and have lunch at Maddur.

The returning path was quite riddled with different geometric shapes and we experienced quite a bit of jumping around our saddles. Stopped at a place for some break and Ang was in a mood to bash up each n every walking talking creature on the road !!! Next stop was lunch break at Maddur. The moment we entered the restaurant in full riding gear, the looks we got for the people present were "They are mad!!!" "Alien invasion!!!". Had a good lunch, loads of conversation. Came out and few test rides were done on Ericin's R15. Then the homeward journey commenced...

damn!!! i really wanted to come for the ride but had some classes to attend!! next I-day ride is confirmed from my side..

hi guys, uhm.. i have some think want to tell at here.
1. becoz I Ride-day is a important event in year, we need sure everything is ok. ( plan, bikes, bikers, safe, rules,...) n John will collect all in last post of him in this thread. u can do it John ?
2. I were very lucky when joined small trip,last Sunday with John n many well bikers who were good team. everything were perfect. but when we came back, we couldnt keep speed together, 3-4 guys went faster (sometime had me ), another guys went slow. In I Ride-day if we can go together all way, it will safe n more intersting. Need the talk for speed together about max n min speed before we start. I thought it.
3. John, can u help me some information about rules n signs by body of team. ( ex: slowly,stop,faster,dangerous on way,lights,......)
