Seems like the thread is dead again...! Guys, start posting as there is only a week left and we need to finalize everything.

@ Josh, buddy i know ur busy...could u just muster some time for us and post the route so as for all of us here will have something to get excited about..! Btw. my R15 tyre..? So, here's the list of riders..

Had a chat with Josh and he promised to put up the map & other stuff last nite, think things are keeping him busy. Will ask him to post tonite. Btw. I'm building my bike slowly, i might land-up on mine or just come as a pillion, depends on the spares availability and cash availability... Btw. as spoken to Josh we will meet at Mettupalayam by 5 A.M , ride to ooty, Bandipur, Gundelpet and reach the destination. Doesn't this sound interesting??

guys sorry for the delay... bdaly stuck wid work.... nywys after speaking with ram i think the below mwntioned plan would work out fine... put in ur inputs and we can see what changes can be done.

1) 18th jul 4:00 hrs - coim team meets and rides to mettplym joins tup team there and to ooty early morning which is over foggy and may be cold showers also during this time ( this is one issue we need to think over. )

we reach ooty by 6:30 and keep riding towards bandipur via madumalai / masinagudi like last time and reach guldulpet by 8:30 hrs. Have bfast and move towards mysore where we meet the bangi guys and ride to kushal nagar which we would reach by 12:00 hrs.

have lunch and relax till 15:00 hrs and then ride to dubare forest where we can visit the elephant camp and also do some rafting etc... return back to the resort by 19:00 hrs freshen up and settle at the camp fire for fun

Next Morning early by 7:00 hrs we leave for abbey falls , madikeri etc and explore then reach resort by 14:00 hrs for lunch.. relax till 15:00 and start fro home.. split with the blore team at mysore and ride back via sathy.. reach home by 20:00 hrs safe and happy.

SORRY AM NOT ABLE TO POST THE ROUTE MAP... BELOW IS THE SUGGESTED ROUTE.

COIMBATORE - METTUPALAYAM - OOTY - MADUMALAI - BANDIPUR - GUNDULPET - MYSORE - KUSHALNAGAR.

RETURN ROUTE

KUSHALNAGAR - MYSORE - SATHYAMANGALAM - BANNARI - COIMBATORE.

This plan sounds good. But regarding the rains in Ooty, we can just hope it doesn't rain as that of Bandipur trip. Fogs can be managed, but downpours certainly not. Any other ideas guys?

The plan seems good. If we start by 7:30 - 8:00am from bangalore we can be there at mysore by 10:30am and we can wait for you guys until 12pm. Myself and subbu will be riding from bangy. May be Asim would join us. But not sure abt him as he might be busy with his new office.

Gear up guys, only one week to go. Waiting to meet you guys.

PS: I am planning this ride to make it as a tribute ride to our best friend "Arunlal"

As of Today and past 3 days there are no showers in Ooty and it's surrounding area. There is heavy downpour only in Kerala..! Anyways can't predict rain god, Fingers Crossed...! Btw. we seen the worst in Bandipur Trip, so nothing can defeat us..!

We can leave early also there is no issues wid that.. we can leave by 3:00 am and reach ooty by 5:30 if we don't face any rains and push it a bit.

Reach ooty and enter the check post by 6:00 and ride thru to gundulpet - b.fast and ride to mysore.

inputs needed fast. Also final count to freeze the hotel bookings as its a weekend we have to book in advance.

Hey Guys!! Planning a great trip again!! Sounds cool.

First of all, sorry for not appearing on any ride outs. For some time now, i have not been myself. I have drifted a little too much away from whom i used to be. Some personal pressure (Un-necessary) has made me lose myself. I will have to get back being my old self. I need time to get back.

Anyways, you guys ride safe and enjoy.

@All: I read in the papers yesterday about a Mommy Elephant taking on a tourist couple that were coming down from Coonoor.. Would have to look into that matter seriously.. I will keep you guys updated on the weather..

As for the pre-meet, we will coordinate via mobile as to the location and timing...
