Had a ride to Udupi over the weekend and thus taking my avenger on road from Trivandrum to Kasargod!

The roads were surprisingly good in Kerala even if they were two lane except in the Thalasherry which was full of potholes. The road from border to Udupi is bad due to 4 lane work going on and all. . . .

Any plans on which road we r taking to go to Wayanad? Will we have a g2g before to meetup with the new riders?

Stopeed at udupi? Joy is a bit beyond that actually.. When u cross some hills to navigate from NH17 to NH4. You will love the curves and straights alike in the shade .Beware of Dogs though! Check out the image when i clicked early morning/midnight when I passed that area.

Thanks for the update! How long did it take you to cover the bad stretch of road? And was it raining heavily on that stretch ?

@Ananth: Damn! Now I need to replan my ride, had a lot of overlap

It was not raining when I went, but it should start soon as monsoon is approaching. I am not much of a fast rider, prefer cruising and not overtake much, hence my timings might be way off the mark if you ride fast. My whole trip avg. was about 30-40 km/hr

Considering our weather,do we really need one?
BTW are there any newbies from Cochin?,if yes then a pre-ride would be necessary.

                          • Hi, yesterday I had an accident in which i hit the road with the chin portion of my LS2 helmet. The chin portion has cracked, with no damage to elsewhere. Is it safe to continue using the helmet, which is barely 3 months old or should I get get a new one?

Especially in the context of upcoming Wayanad G2G ?

Glad to know your alright! But It is never safe to ride with a cracked helmet! If you have the budget,go in for a new one!Its always better to be on the safer side! And depending on the size of the cracks,it can generate some resistance to the wind when riding!

Glad to hear you are ok bro... take care and rest well. And do check with the doctor if its safe to ride long before the wayanad ride. Its better to be safe than sorry.. hmm
Reg helmet... if it has cracked, it has already done its job and wont do anymore. You'll need to replace it. Just take it like this - you used up 3k(supposing its the price) to save your chin and retain your face as it is, and should I do it again, or leave it to chance and luck next time!!
