the temple in bidar is different it is called jala narsimha swamy temply
to have darshan u must walk in 4-5 feet if water in a cave h=which is 200 mts long
its pretty exciting...
unfortunately one of my cuzins is getting married on Sunday
i used to drive to bidar regularly earlier the drive is pretty good

add nagarjuna sagar in between mangalapalle and macherala. Not sure where vijayapuri comes..

Road conditions can be updated even before reaching there...

Till macherla... pretty decent.
After macherla till addanki occasional pot holes... and villages with speed breakers till addanki.

From ADDANKI...no complaints till Chennai... its a 4 lane GQ road.

30 kms from nagarjuna sagar is macherla... Till nagarjuna sagar...you have umpteen villages on the way. So no worries even if you get stuck in midway.

@Kriss.... Vijaya Puri is the Nagarjuna Sagar Colony.
@Pundrick. Yes, the roads are pretty good. Well, watch our for an occassional pothole. Karempudi to Nekarikallu = ~30 kms is not good. Be careful. Macherla to Addanki, watch out for unmarked speed breakers when u sight civilization.

Macherla is a good place for breakfast or any food stop. Just after Ongole is the best place to refuel.

After Macherla, you have to take a right at a Y junction... else u'll end up in Guntur...

At Nekarikallu you have to take a right turn at the T junction. Watch out for this junction while returning (gotta take left then)... it is very easy to miss this one.

It is more than a breeze dude... but then, this is India... expect people to cross roads just any where... vehicles without lights or reflectors on ur way... and even mud, grass, etc on the road... errr.. I mean, drive watchfully.

I am packed up. Starting before 5am tomorrow. For now, am going to my in-laws place in Secunderabad... gotta take a shower first :-)
