Hey folks, I know I wrote here a week ago and then completely lost track because this thread advances so fast. I am in Hyderabad now but that might change soon because I wanna do a little bit of travelling. Haven’t really planned anything but I want to go to Orissa => Calcutta => Delhi => Leg => Hyd => all over south India, that obviously sounds a little unrealistic and I don’t think I’ll be able to squeeze all of it in my schedule but I’m gonna give it a shot.
Anyway, first things first- do any of you know where I can get a GP1 visor? And I also need a clip and screw on the right, I picked up my good old helmet which was living under a pile of paper for three years.
Anyway, hope to meet up with some of you sometime!

Ashish, good to see you in the City. Hope to meet you soon. As for the GPone visor, let me check and give you the details.
Looking forward to meet you.
Edit: Just enquired with KP. He has been searching for one since long time. Never found one in Hyderabad. Chances are that you may get in Banglore or Delhi; may be Poona too.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 07-14-2009, 10:40 PM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Thanks for that Ravi, my friend spoke to someone near Sindhi Colony and he said he has one for 200 bucks. Firstly I don’t know if its a real GP1 visor, then I don’t know what it retails at and if 200 is reasonable. I also need 1 screw that holds the visor down on one side of the helmet. Anyway, stuff it – I have a rusty old Volga helmet that will keep the cops happy but I doubt the protection if my head ends up hitting the bitumen.
Yeah, we have to meet up. I’m keen to go riding somewhere. Tomorrow I’m going to do a little work on my bike because its running lean. These pricks of mechanics say ‘set karunga’ after 1000kms and expect me to ride a bike that runs like a dog after I’ve just paid for a new piston and set of clutch plates. If they can’t fix it I’ll do it myself!
Anyway, will talk later!

Thanks a lot bro! I'm practicing for the iron butt rideOriginally posted by ragGZ_ View Post+1 with Ravi anna and Sam - Dude, ur crazy man. Let the passion keep going. I don knwo about the Leh ladhak but sure the iron butt's gonna be urs name. Trust me UR THE TRUE RIDER, U'VE GOT THE PASSION FOR BIKING and is not fake!!!! U ROCK BRO

Even I feel pity for my bike.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostI feel pity for that platina, It might be swearing for its life.
How much time was your journey moeed?
Its serious time for you to move a tourer oriented bike, Katrina ZMR!!!

I started at 7am and reached home at 10pm.
I want to complete 100000 km on this bike. After that I will think of another bike. Moreover the way I ride(taking potholes and speed breakers at 85 kmph
) , if I buy those bikes it would be in the service center in 2 days.
That's how you become tough!Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostI was pissed riding my CBR to narsapur lake and back....wonder how much patiance he has

Thanks for the offer bro. But my college has started so I don't think it would be possible now. Will try it sometime in the future.Originally posted by Prabhakar View PostTerrific Moeed!!!!
Please check IBA Run Thread & try to Join us if Possible.
Mileage is my concern. That's why I can't go for those bikes now. Once I start earning, the first thing I will do is to upgrade my ride!Originally posted by kiran_borra View Post+1
Thats True Moeed.. time for u to get a good tourer

Thanks a ton bro!Originally posted by yaser_kb100 View PostOMG - 800KMs in a day on a Platina - now that is what I call dedication, spirit and patience in top form.
So when did you start, where did you have to go and when did you get back home?
SAM, as I understand, the Platina is pretty fuel efficient and I am sure it gives him close to 70kmpl on the highways if he isn't going full throttle and that means one doesn't really needs to own a petrol bunk with that machine between the legs. Right Moeed? But then the most amazing thing about you is that you dare and trust your bike for such long rides which people of bigger, faster and better bikes would even think twice before going such distances. Salute to you and your passion.
I started at 7am and returned at 10pm. Rode to Maharashtra and visited Pochera falls, Kuntala falls and Pochampad dam on the way back. I don't get 70 kmpl on the highways
. I get 50 kmpl(riding at 80-90 kmph)
.
Thanks bro!Originally posted by sam92 View Posti was just kidding yaser bhai ..really helmets off to him

P.S: I posted my trip in the tourer section. Please check that and leave your comments!

It can hurt your back and there are chances of slipped disk if you carry on this wayOriginally posted by moeed View PostMoreover the way I ride(taking potholes and speed breakers at 85 kmph

not demoralizing but just making you aware because on your back is hurt seriously .... at times that defect tends to remain slightly
anyways ... your an awesome person
and i think you should dedicate an ownership thread for your platina
it seems reliable
keep it up mate
best of luck

Thanks a lot bro! I don't take the bike purposely over the potholes and speed breakers. It happens accidently while riding on the highways at night time.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View PostIt can hurt your back and there are chances of slipped disk if you carry on this way

that much more dangerous
what if you loose balance ... and that at 80 kmph
and i wonder what visibility would a platina headlight give when most 150 cc bikes cant give any proper visibility
i guess thats y you are not able to see clearly at night time
very dangerous thing i must say
but you keep control which again shows ur a good rider
now am confused !! dont know what should i say

It happens very rarely as I dodge most of the potholes. Well the headlight is fine unless a vehicle approaches from the opposite direction with high beam.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Post
