I was at 40kmph and was about to take a u-turn. As i applied brakes the bike started skidding as it was raining at that time. I tried to control the bike but couldn't and finally the bike hit the road divider and I was thrown off from the bike and dragged on the road for some meters.

Considering your injuries and the damage to the bike i seriously doubt you were at 40kmph speed Moeed

Only thing I can say is, Moeed is yet to know how to handle a big bike. Also, the amount of damage on the bike (32500) somehow unbelievable with a 40 kmph skid.

on any bike its not possible to take a U-turn at that speed. unless its a huge U-turn.

he may be leaning on a O[circle] trying to scrape his knees without gear ..
he did it and then fell off and maybe his sir's bike came under a truck and was dragged for 5 km ...

the above story justifies his injuries ...

May be it is just an estimation. And generally the mechanics estimate higher. For example, he quoted an alloy to be 6000, but it is only 4000. Maybe in total it comes to somewhere around 25k.

@sam - heard about the drag stunt thing. am sorry to say but now losing interest in XBHP. All i asked was a stunt meet cos i have passion to learn things. but no response for quiet a while. so that is the reason i am jut being online and no posts from my end. just being a spectator

Well I'll clear the confusion here. I was at 40 and was about to take a u-turn so I applied brakes to get ready for the turn. At this moment the rear tyre started skidding as it was raining. I tried to control the bike but couldn't and crashed head-on to the divider at the gap for u-turn. I was thrown off from the bike and dragged against the road for some meters. It all happened in a fraction of a second and I couldn't do anything to avoid the crash.

P.S: It's been almost a week since I am on bed rest. It will take another 2 weeks for my complete recovery.

It was a head-on collision, that's why it had much damage.

@sam - heard about the drag stunt thing. am sorry to say but now losing interest in XBHP. All i asked was a stunt meet cos i have passion to learn things. but no response for quiet a while. so that is the reason i am jut being online and no posts from my end. just being a spectator

stunt /drag meet ..
there will still be a meet if there are only 2 persons ..

come on guys .. ?? is this xbhp ?? we call ourselves a biking group .. and eveyone is using it like a chat box ..
if possible we can even make it a OFF ROADING

There are not good stunters in Hyderabad Xbhp. If you want to practice, why do you want everybody to come? Do you want spectators?

And Raghu, if you seriously want to learn stunting, look elsewhere. Stop blaming Hyderabad Xbhp.

And Sam, did you turn up for the last Off-road meet? What stopped you to attend it? Is it possible for everybody to attend each and every meet?

Those who are interested in any kind of G2G's, at their convenient time, just announce it and meet. Do not expect everybody to come everytime.

Though he sounds gussaful, I think he is absolutely right. Not everyone would be able to make it to every G2G so whoever can/want to, may please plan on it and go ahead with it.

I however wouldn't mind being a spectator for a stunts G2G provided I have the time and would love to me more than just a spectator if its a OFF Road thing

So please who ever is interested in a Stunt or a OFF Road G2G plan on it soon and though I cannot promise, I shall try my best to be a part of it.

yeah ravi anna, i have seen most of the meets, its not only the XBHP thread Hyderabad but i do follow other threads, nothing against anyone, but der are ppl who talk a lot abt biking and stuff but don turn up to the meets in hyderabad and tell me one time when anyone was on time. I have always been the 1st to arrive or @least 15 mins than the scheduled time. Ppl don turn up on time, they have no punctuality, and claiming to be bikers. That was the only reason i din turn up for the Kuntala falls meet.

Inregards to the stuntuing, i just need someone to show me once, i am a versatile, i can than teach diffrent tricks to the one whose thaught me.

And now with this thing what u said, i don think, i need anyone's help. Am capable enuf of finding things on my own. and as u said, i have started looking elsewhere. I don need anyone to tell me where to look for. If ppl claim to be riders, good for them, but they don have to tell me where to look and not to look.

Hyderbad XBHP, i thought it wsa more of the family as we belong to a freternity, i din think, ppl take up individual decisions. I respect u have awesome knowledge for bikes but again, tell me when u have been for meets except we make those special one's (when sunny came or when b2l came to hyderabad). Even i work my A*s off for 12-14 hours @ office, leave alone the weekly off's. i come to office on weekly off's as well, but i make it a point that i come for any meet, come what may.
