good to hear that dude ....hope to see u soon on a rideOriginally posted by moeed View PostI'm fine bro! Able to walk now.
I have seen a few karizmas with that crash/leg guard. On Karizma R, You will have to remove the plastic part(donno what it is called) which has premium sports written on it. It is better if you get the guard fitted on your bike.
yeah thats wat i was wondering we cant fit a leg guard unless we remove the engine guard(the plastic one which u wer telling)..bt if we remove that there il be no protection to the engine frm below...yeah its possible if we get some mods done bt presently i need to get my bike done to the normal state
...had to leave my bike at the hh showroom fr the repair ,today il be my first night without my bike frm the time i bought it

u said me the thing which was in my mind...yeah il get all those done as soon as possible...thanx fr the adivce broOriginally posted by moeed View PostTo increase the braking power you can put a rear disk brake. I second that, and also, practicing correct breaking techniques decrease the chance of panic breaking which results in a locked up wheel.Originally posted by moeed View PostTo increase the braking power you can put a rear disk brake. VAMS: Sorry to hear about your accident but at the same time I am happy that you have some riding gear on which saved you. Looks like its only your body and the bike that seemed to have some scratches, cracks etc but the soul still seems the same.
Coming to the braking and the technology part, I agree with BOO - its practise that will help us improve our panic braking. There are books on it and some exercises that will help us improve. Technology can only assist you a bit in better braking but cannot totally prevent you from accidents.
Coming to skidding, I think we should learn to skid the bike which actually can help avoid an accident but that all depends on the bike, the skill and the % of panic lol.
There is a saying that goes like this "Better late than never" and I feel that it is absolutely right especially under the traffic conditions where it is sensible to keep a check on the speeds. My office is like 10kms and sometimes I rip(doing 80-90kmph) and on the other days I do like 40-60kmph and the difference is hardly a few mins.
Another things, ACCIDENTS are meant to happen. I remember seeing atleast twice where a bike was waiting for the signal to go green and someone comes and hits from behind.

bhai, even I am a victim of this... without a single injury that can be seen with a naked eye or an xRay, I could not even move my body for two months!Originally posted by yaser_kb100 View PostAnother things, ACCIDENTS are meant to happen. tough to beat that!!!

Try getting soft compound tires.I can vouch for pirelli sportsdemon since I used it. they say michelin m45 is good too. Heard good things about the new mrf soft compound tires too.Originally posted by vams View Postu said me the thing which was in my mind...yeah il get all those done as soon as possible...thanx fr the adivce bro
and the stock mrf tires that come with the bike are hard compound. they become extremely dangerous if you leave the bike for 3 months in a single place.Ride with Angels

I don't want to comment anything on this.
People who are using it like Rahul need to comment.
Rahul Please Post UR Comments & experience with it.well, i dont want to start a cold war again.. but i have been using it for quite a while now.. all i can say is the braking is way better than before... its not like the actual electronic ABS where the brakes dont lock at all.. but it regulates the fluid pressure so that the wheels dont lock immediately and take some time so that we can come to a stop before they actually get locked.. i have tried locking the front wheel and was successful on roads with ok ok grip.. i pressed the front lever completely at around 40-50 and found the tyre to skid just a bit and also found that braking distance has reduced drastically coz of better traction(i feel so)... but on grippy roads i couldnt do it... only the forks dive in and the vehicle stops immediately... my back wheel still tends to lock at times because of poor grip offered by the tyre... but the braking has improved by almost 3-4 times.. i dont know about u guys, but on the roads where i drive, panic braking is very common.. i am very happy to use these as i feel safer while driving fast.. this mechanical ABS combined with good grippy tyres can make driving really a pleasureable experience even in this hectic and reckless traffic.. i personally advice all the disc brake users to try it.. after all it costs just 1250 and can make a lot a lot of difference during emergencies and can save us, which is priceless.. whats wrong in trying it out? if u dont like it remove it..Originally posted by kkrk2 View PostWell said. Rahul please share your experience. BTW, put that in the thread dedicated to this topic. If you have already posted it there, please post the link here.

@vams
Take care bro.......hope you learn from this. Start early.....beside riding fast and rash does'nt help you in anyway even if you are late. You are going to be there early by few mins if you ride fast but you are late anyways. Ride slowly with a peace of mind to reach your destination. This always worked for me.
I guess almost everyone expect few guys are in hibernation mode including me inregards to touring
