From uncles G2G, it moved to a couples G2G. I would rather say, change it to Family G2G - I can get along two very very young riders, one of whom is already into wheelies and stoppies. BTW it just won't be possible to have a couple/family G2G early in the morning. And please not on this sunday cause it would be the very next day of Bakrid and the family will be bizi.

BTW...With my ride plans that never got implemented...I have finally deicded to get one done. The place I have deicded is not hillstations nor Leh. Its place called Dhanushkodi in Tamilnadu, More details at Dhanushkodi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I dont have any specific reason why I decided for this place, but after reading about it I felt that its worth visiting.

I am expecting it to be a trip of 7 days (12-01-2010 to 18-01-2010). Reason for the specific dates are

1. Annual solar eclipse to be perfectly visible from dhanushkodi on this day (15th Jan at 1.20PM). ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_January_15,_2010#Visibility)
2. I can get 5 business days leaves only in january. which I have already applied.
3. And I need setup a plan to convince my wife and parents as this would be very long journey.
4. Enough time to prepare physically, mentally & financially.

The landing date on dhanushkodi is 15-01-2010. As of now the journey details are.

Route (as of now):
Hyderabad >> Vijayawada (I really dont want to drive on NH9, any suggestions?)
Vijayawada >> Chennai
Chennai >> Thanjavur
Thanjavur >> Rameswaram & Dhanushkodi

Return route could be different. May be Via Bangalore!

Total distance could be around 3000+ kms (up & down).

Hope, I will do this one. Vishnu, Sorry I could not tell you anything about trips in December!! Leaves quota was already taken by others.
