    • Off-Roading at Kodachadri

      Kodachadri is the Highest Point in Karnataka.
      My friend Nisarg from Banglore mentioned this place... saying that there is good offroading over there...
      So i thought of riding there.
      Ride Dates: 11-May -- 13 May
      Meeting Point: Fountain Hotel.. Godhbundar road. 2.30am sharp

      Day 1; Mumbai to Nagara --> 823Kms
      Day 2: Offroading at kodachadri.
      Day 3: Nagara to Mumbai --> 823kms

      I know this ride is going to be really hectic... but there is a lot of issues for leaves..
      and in addition to this there are bikers from Banglore that are coming at the same dates over there.

      Route:
      Hotel Fountain to Nagara, Karnataka, India - Google Maps

              Some one stab me with a sword, light my balls on fire and let me know if I read what I am reading.

              Climbing Kodachadri is a tough ride.

              Mumbai to Nagara by that route is unsafe, eerie and extremely confusing. Rather take a diversion from Kalaghati to Ankola. This route is longer, but safer and has much more to offer than the route you are taking.

              Doing offroading about a 1000KMs away from home is funny considering you ONLY have to come back the next day.

              You guys seriously need to do a reality check on your ride plan. This is what I would classify as extreme riding. Unless theres a cash prize of 10000rs, or my wife and parents abandoning me and me finding creative way to commit suicide I might not venture for a trip like this (ok ok, I might but still this is ONE tough ride)

              Think through it.

                  What you read is right but still if you want above mentioned things to be done .. I am sure there will be many who would jump on opportunity

                  but on serious note Karthik you need to sit down and think about this ride its way to hectic specially in month of MAY 2000 kms in 3 days...

                        You should get it at AH helmets. Otherwise, if you have DMart around, you will get it there for 30-35 Rs.

                            I don't like Hemant bhai and he seems to over-charge all the time. I think there is a DMart close enough to my place, will check it out. Thanks!

                            • The ones that you get at Dmart are cheap but arent as strong as the one that we use.

                              You could also head to any hardware shop or bike accesories chap. They sell the bungee at about 70rs -90rs IIRC.
