    2 routes lead to it.

    1)From Malshej
    2)From Talegaon - Chakan.

Poonawala's the choice is obvious.Mumbai gang needs to decide.Malshej route is quite a long cut though.
Malshej route till Junnar was in fabulous condition till last year when I went to Shivneri. Beautiful road going through greenery on both side with flower field in between. Amazing photographic spots. Can't say anything bout the condition now. Better be good.

I was gonna put the same thing here after reading it on MBC forum. It's hardly 15 mins from my place. I'll try to be there.

I will go for the first one.Bhimashankar is tone thro away from Mumbai. We should atleast do 250kms while reaching there.I would have proposed an even longer route but seeing the sentiments I'm backing off.Btw we can make a splash & dash visit to Mahuli while going to Bhimashankar.

Lastly I'm ok with any plan and IU'm riding along with you guys as I don't want to do the same route twice.

              • How bout this...
                LONAR LAKE

                Mumbai-Aurangabad-Jalna-Lonar
                600 kms.

India's magnificent hyper-velocity meteorite-impact crater. Lonar ranks amongst the world's five largest craters and the third largest salt water lake in the world.

The small Vishnu temple and most others in the vicinity are constructed in the Hemadpanthi style i.e. without use of cementing agents. While most temples are now permanent abodes of bats and mice, only ones that attract pilgrims have some resemblance to their original selves. Gomukh Temple, along the rim of the crater with a perennial stream is another interesting site.
A fascinating sight is the presence of hundreds of peafowl's which live inside the crater. The crater has potential as a bird sanctuary and also one can sight langoors, snakes, monitor lizards, mongoose, fox and deers. To promote tourism in this area, M.T.D.C. has constructed Crater View Tourist Complex.

The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.

                        • Lonar is a good place to visit...especially the MTDC resort is also placed right opposite the crater..gives u a good view of the sunset. If you go down the crater you will find a lot of birds and animals...peacock is found but it is dificult to locate as they are a bit elusive.

I can't come for the tranformed g2g..i mean the Transformers 2 G2G.. as der's renovation going on at my place.. but we can have a small meet up tonight after say 10-10.30pm at Worli sea face or marile lines or may be recli(but it's not safe these days so keep this as the last option..). I usually go to worli sea face/marine lines after the dinner for a small ride.
