Dont want to start a new thread for my small 350+ kms ride in Tourer section as these days only mammoth rides are being posted there.. Hence just a small mention here only..

Since SB and pals had been to Gadheshwar last weekend, SB invited me for this weekend's Wardauli(hope the spelling is right) ride but I had some different plan. My camera was with my girlfriend for quite some time and I was missing it too much. Also I needed it badly if at all I go for any ride on the coming big weekend. SO I had decided to go to Pune to meet my GF and get my cam back.

Talked to SB night prior to my ride just to know what's their plan. I could have met them at Panvel on the way but they had decided to leave late where as I wanted to start my ride at least by 7.30am. So no chance of meeting the old friends.

I packed my stuff and crashed on the bed on sat and at around 2am my cell phne rang. It was my friend Umesh. He called up to ask for the permission if he too can join me for the ride with another mutual friend Tanay as his pillion. I didnt have any issues except my privacy with my GF was at stake.. But I said we'll find a way out of it and asked him to meet me in the morning. He wanted to buy some stuff from Pune.

We all were paranoid bout the swine flu thingy in Pune. Parents..friends everyone started giving suggestions.. Finally the day came and we left at 7.30am sharp. Climate was nice with no rains..just a bit of drizzle here and there. Rode non stop till Shree Datta snacks, Panvel and stopped for breakfast.

After having Misile pav and tea we all left in Pune's direction. So sign of rain till now. But the lonavala ghat was washed out by heavy rains just before we reached there and a certain patch of the ghat had lot of slush on it.. I dont know how i miss judged it and my front end lost the grip. Gossh.. that was scary managed to keep the bike on 2 wheels somehow and avoided a deadly crash. whewww...

Moving ahead with no problems we reached Pune. Was fun playing with a Jharkhand number plate Ford Icon past Kamshet..

Once we reached in Pune, the swine flu thing was evident. Most of the people were wearing N95(it's the name of the mask) on their face. Even we bought masks for ourselves.

The day was spent very well. We all had lunch together, been to Durga for cold coffee, did some shopping. Then my friends went for their work and me and Amruta went to our usual spot where we hang out. It's a small hill with a nice view of National Highway.

Later my friends came to the same spot and we spent some more time chatting and taking rest. The place is so beautiful that you dont realize how much time you spend there. Cool breeze flows continuously.

In the end we all went to Amruta's place, left her there, got fresh and headed to have a glass of mastani.. Finally we started our return journey by 4-4.30pm and reached home at around 7-7.30pm.

It was around 350+ km trip full of fun. It's always good to spend time with your loved ones and bestest buddies.. Also crossed the 10000km milestone on the way back. 10000 happy kms with my mean machine.
