Why not? - They were one of the sponsors of the event, and more importantly were kind enough to house us and feed us too!
That coverage was least we could do for them,
PS: I am still not sure why do think it was a promo for them?

    Query

Do i need to have the Xbhp stickers/logos on my bike? I've been a member for a while but don't have any stickers or anything....Nor is there anything like that on my lid.

Wheelieboy and Baljeet from Roadshakers along with Nikhil did quiet a lot in this. Learnt a lot of things in this one and definitely will ensure those drawbacks are not repeated again!

no wonder that you people are so passionate about biking

if i was in ur place, i would have chickened out at such events!!!!
i thought that this event was started just by a couple of groups getting together and riding for a common cause!!!

can u give some details as to what others things are required

I have the permission, being a professional organiser i have that sense that we need permission where more than 25 people are gathering, atleast when bikers are there no one would take chance.
Even after getting proper permission Cops called me,baljeet and PARA guys, they called xbhp too but we requested them not to involve xbhp.

Well.. in that case.. they had no business to trouble you people apart from the obvious monetary reasons. And the only way to solve this is to talk to anyone >= the rank of ACP at the Police Commisioner's office.

Its good that Roadshakers were acknowledged for their efforts in the event, but my reaction was to the initial thing I saw in Pune Newsline which had no mention at all of xBHP. There is no point in clashing amongst each other when we all were supporting a bigger common cause.

At the event, we weren't xBHP or Roadshakers or anyone else. We all were bikers who wanted to promote safe riding and use of helmets. But if some groups were acknowledged, and others were not, thats a bit of injustice. Nobody here had anything against Roadshakers according to me. The above comments were against the attitude shown by the people towards all of us as a single group.

P.S.: If Pune police did sue xBHP / PARA / Wheelieboy, it would have been because we failed to secure prior permission for the event i.e. lack of preparation as per my previous post.

P.P.S.: A friend of mine + his cousin met with an accident on a CBZ in Kothrud about 22 hours ago and both couldn't survive the crash. Not to mention both were helmetless. You guys will probably read about it in tomorrow's paper. Moral of the story: What good is helmet awareness if you can't even make your friends aware.
