          Hi friendz
It was a great experience today as this was my first group riding. Riding formation and signaling were excellent. I would like to suggest some tips.

Indicator : When overtaking we should always use our Left indicator. Becoz after overtaking we move 2 the left.

Overtaking: I think the leader should ride a little faster after overtaking, so that the followers can overtake safely and can keep distance from the vehicle behind. I suggest this becoz today i noticed a truck applied sudden brake after a few riders over took the truck. I feel it was due to less distance from the bike.

Bang your head, while standing opposite/close to a wall, speed @2-3kmph? Hurts?
Increase your speed & watch the fun, when someone falls from a Motorcycle, unfortunately he can't choose which way to fall best & hurt himself less.

Few things I observed in the ride with the "Fast" Group:

                      - Guys you need to have more space between each other. And this gap must increase with increase in speed. I could see a couple of you coming really close. In panic braking scenario this will spell disaster.

                      - On a median separated highway the default formation is staggered, unless a single file is called for.

                      - I saw a few people scattering away from the staggered formation too.

                      - When taking a stop along side the road, ensure your bike is parked on the inside, else it might be taken away to pieces by some of the speeding truckies overtaking from the left. Similarly if you are wearing a bag, don't stand with your back to the road. You might not know how much your bag is jutting out onto the road, which again is a recipe for disaster if some vehicle on the road moves very close to you.

                      - feel free to increase the distance between each other, but don't increase the distance between each other so much that you can't see the rider behind you in the rear view mirror and the rider ahead of you.

                      - Do not over take or come close to the lead rider in the group, do this only if you have some reason to stop and pull over the entire group. Yesterday we had a confusion because of this.

                      - The day for the ride, please tank-up and fill in air. Fuel/Air stops take away a lot time.

It was short but very nice ride on the NH4 early in the morning.

                          My Observations...

                          - There were few cases when the rider moves in front of the vehicle in highway just after overtaking. Please avoid this.

                          - Observed one rider in the slow group with out rear view mirror turning behind looking for vehicles before overtaking or switching lanes. Would be nice if everyone can have their RVM installed for the ride.

                          @John/Praful,
Should be make the RVM mandatory for the ride this week??

Thanks for observing. I forgot about this and I am sure John did as well.

RVM are absolutely mandatory for this ride.

                                My suggestions for overtaking signals

The leader should provide enough space for the other bikes to slot in while overtaking. He can switch to the other lane after the other rider overtook the behind trailing vehicle. Turn Signal alone used just before he switches the lane to signal the safe over taking and also it alerts the other riders to calculate the distance and lane changing point considering the next rider's safety.

The above will not be possible in all the cases. In some cases in the traffic. The leader can quickly overtake the trailing vehicle and signal the other rider about the risk by using both hand signal and turn signal. It warns the next rider to overtake on his own.

Look at the attached images for better idea.
