2 months back I traveled through thamarassery route. the condition of the road was pathetic..Virtually there is no road at all.
The road is ruined for only 20 km stretch i.e staring from the ghat road till adivaram. But this route is rather scenic. And also the road is in quite good condition till vthiri.. So we have to tolerate only a 20km ride. but i hope that it will be compensated by the natural beauty of the route..

some possible routes from ooty - coorg-cochin are

      1. Ooty-gundlupet-begur-Hunsur-coorg-kutta-tholpetty- mananthavady-thamarassery-calicut byepass-cochin

      2. Ooty-Gundlupet-Muthanga-Sulthanbathery-Mananthavady-Tholpetty-Kutta-Coorg-Thalassery-calicut-cochin

      3. Ooty-gundulpet-Begur-Hunsur-Coorg-Thalassery-Calicut-Cochin..

The third route is the easiest one But gundlupet-hunsur and coorg-thalassery
is not much scenic route.. the second and first routes are more scenic and also mostly through forests...

Also Ooty to gundulpet can be reached either via gudallur or via Masinagudi...

So friends let us discuss if we are going which route should we take....
everyone, pick a route. i'm okay with the scenic route. i picked thalassery route because i was only planning to do the actual munnar-ooty-coorg route.

Kerala G2G was a great experience.
ask them. its a long ride. ask permission and only come if parents allow. we cannot do it in one day. it will be a 2 day ride. and the total cost for the entire trip will go past 2k rs.

I am not sure that we can cover the entire route in 2 days, we need at least 3 days.
i am ok for any weekends on December, so that I have to take only a days off from work if it is a 3 day trip..

I hope all other working Riders will also be having same opinion..

So as a tribute to him i suggest a ride through the world's ultimate riding route. I was not planning it to be a G2G ride. thats why i didnt post it here. but if everyone wants it to be one, then lets start planning here.

I'm still a little skeptical over the return route we should take. like ajmal pointed out, thamarssery route can be taken. but the road condition was pretty bad a few months ago. any update on how it is now?

i AM okay with December and is that the same route we taking Munnar - via ooty - coorg ..?
and also i have to see with my $$$ and also dun have a complete riding gear , will join if i have gears or else i wont as the last one one my nee is still paining
