Hi guys, been out for a couple of days and the net con was having some probs, couldnt update for a few days. Thats great to see that we've got good designers to make it happen what we want. There are doms with built in projectors available from Ebaymotors. But getting the things from there to here makes hell of money from pocket. So I would rather stick to home town junkyard jobs. Nothing came across. Does anyone know the cost of the P220's projector lens? Velociraptor, you can straightaway go for the HID for tbt as its having a good 3 phase RR unit, can feed a 55/60 halogen, one of my friend is using this and no batt issues so far. Note that he's commuting only 1 hr daily, but its something better than my case, I am getting only 45mins with HID and rest is relyiing on the old goody halo. The current Stock RR will feed the batt a max of 3.5, beyond that it will smoke the wire, belive me, I tried it. My friend'd bullet is giving a steady 4.5A so it should work. If am can run with a 3.5A for 45 mins, surely u can do better than this, as the HID will consume 9A for a few secs and will come to a steady 3.5A max. If the charger is capable of supplying this, logically there wont be any issues unless intermittant switchings of HID. Last edited by sajjt; 10-12-2009 at 04:14 PM. |

Whats the wattage of ur HID? 55? then you are right you will have only few min of joy ride with this HID as the 55W HID consumes more than 6A after stabilization and at the startup, no yar you cant get along with a 9AH. But I doubt about the blinkers, even after my battery is almost dead, my blinkers will shine and the horn too, (vibrasonic 3.5AX2) but chockingly.Once the HID starts struggle to lightup, switch off HID else you have to crank the bike in the next morning with the kicker if you have. Keep on trying with the available options and keep an eye on these, might solve your issues too and don't forget to update it here. Better luck next time. |
