I started riding the Monster 796 in India after a gap of 4 years though I used to rent inline 4s during my outstations trips for short period. If you have the fundamentals right, this is the best bike you can get. Just remember that its slightly unforgiving than the Japs. Its very much possible provided you don't tinker around with the bike a lot. Maybe you can change oil and oil filter, clean the air filter around mid way mark i.e 6000 kms. Keep on cleaning, lubing and adjusting the chain every 500 kms, and I see no reason why you will invite trouble.

Hmmm but it seems that they are launching the bike in the auto expo also the price will be announced there only let's wait n watch.. but here is Q for all if ducati 795 n honda 600f launched for 7 lakhs each which one will u go for ?

i will go for Honda 600f for inline 4 !

. I am seriously considering the Monster as an option, the other two options are the N650 and GT650R. I saw both (as also harleys and suzukis and yamaha) but fell in love only with the Ducatis. I was not aware of the powerband issue, so thanks for enlightening me.

It completely depends on your own personality, I think. Plus, a bike should speak to you. The moment I sat on the 796, I felt it in my bones, felt the bike screaming ride me, ride me

. The only other bike I felt such an attraction for were GSX1000R and Hayabusa (both too powerful, too expensive). The Honda might last you 20 years, but it is the Ducati with which you would like to spend your whole life with. My opinion

i like the view of Single sided swingarm n Y type Spokes the most which s missing in 795

i would go for 796 only for these

the swingarm is still ok, but the plain jane 3 spoke wheels just kill the overall looks of the bike.
