    Purchasing/Spending Power of Indian Bikers.
I was just wondering, what is the purchasing power of indian bikers. how much money an average indian biker is ready to spend on buying a new bike.

Although it is not possible to discuss in terms of absolute amounts here, and very few may divulge correct info, so we can talk in terms of multiplication factor of monthly salary.

In my opinion, an average biker purchases a bike whose price varies between 2 to 6 times his monthly salary. kindly tell us what is the figure for you, i.e. how many times the monthly salary. and whether its on loan or cash purchase.

The poll was created by you!

My bike was infinitely more than my monthly salary. I wasn't earning at that time, but I bought my bike from the money I made off the stock market

I had saved 40 grand when I was 19 and made it a lakh by the time I was 22. Bought my bike for 75k and gear and stuff for the remaining 25. So unlike others I didn't work hard for what I wanted, I let the CEOs of various Indian companies work hard for me
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

I think you should add another option (infinite) . Anyways, mine will be infinite, haven't started earning yet. That's still a long way to go.

Re: Purchasing Power of Indian Bikers

I bought a RX135 from complete scrap in 4000rs. Bought it out of my pocket money. And built it out of my pocket money.
Well as pet salary and bike buying is concerned im employed now. I teach in a college. I earn 11000rs pm. I bought my Duke200 last year 22Aug 2012. I give monthly installments of 7469rs. I am left with roughly 3500rs. And managing its maintainence and frequent rides are hard. But thats all about priorities i guess. Purchasing power?!? ...naah

To be true, there really isn't any limit to how much a "Biker" would spend to get his Dream bike.. or counting the same, how much he would spend on Modifying the bike (Like in my case :P ) ... I am a student, no salaried job .. no permanent earning.. but after dad bought me my bike, I spent an amount in excess off my bike's cost (over a period of 2.5 years :P ), just in modifying it.

So to be very true, till we bikers are free (not bound by responsibility of Family), we really have no limits to how much we can spend.. except the part of saving / loan that is permitted :P
