Re: Purchasing Power of Indian Bikers

If I was single, I would have bought a Ninja 300 instead of settling for Duke 200. Even with Duke 200 my wife feels I am being irresponsible

Re: Purchasing Power of Indian Bikers

Intresting topic......I bought my bike almost two year back and it was almost 4 times more than my salary, apart from this it took almost 40% of my life's alive hours to convince my parents for getting a bike for me, by my own hard earn money and then real hard time got to convince my father to avoid for getting me a splendor and passion....

Re: Purchasing Power of Indian Bikers

The first bike I bought after I began to earn was around 4 times my monthly salary at the time. Was willing to spend around 20 times my salary, but would then have to just look at the bike in the parking lot as would not have any money for gas...or food or anything for that matter.

My dad got me my ZMR out of my Salary.. I gave him the money every month and he saved the money and got it for me.. at the time when I got it.. it was almost 8 times my salary but now it has reduced to 4 times my salary by the way.. I own my Black pearl for 3.3 years now..

About spending money for my bike.. I am always ready to spend money on her to keep her in perfect condition Thats what guys do best I guess.. atleast most..

Like what Ankitvile said, I bought my bike on loan and spend some money I had with some money my mother gave me. Its cost is about 6 times my monthly salary and am yet to buy any serious gear except for gloves. Still am paying 2300 monthly towards the installments.

Bro.. It depends on the way one understands/looks....

some people simply invest/spend money on roaming, some(ladies) on jewels, cosmetics(i feel rubbish), unwanted clothing. They feel that it is necessarity. But for us it will be rubbish.
In the same way women feel that spending money on bike is absolute bullshit. If she is in your position it may be a different thing.

BUT MEN WILL NOT SPEAK on purschases of women. Ladies/women will speak about us.

Try to make her understand your feeling/love towards bikes.

Try to save and prove you love your family too along with your bike

Apologies if i had said anything wrong

While balancing between passion and family responsibilities...sometimes passion takes a back seat.

Well my wife is extremely diplomatic. She'd tell me to get any motorcycle I want if I'm willing to take up another loan but then again I'm faced with the same issue you are. Reducing the principal of my mighty home loan is my 1st priority at this point in time. Let's see what fate holds for me :-)
