Question Help in planning All India Ride.

Hi everyone,

Along with couple of friends from xbhp, I'm planning on doing an All India ride during the year 2013.

Route:

The above snap shot shows the route we are planning on taking. I request the xbhp fraternity to help us with suggestions on routes, places that are must-visit along the route etc, tips and advice from your own rides, places to stay etc. We are doing our own homework, but all and any advice are welcome.

Looking forward to your help.

Thanks,
Lijo K

Default Two week guys

If you can get 2 weeks off, I suggest you ship your ride to Delhi, join us from there for the rest of the ride...

Trust me few things don't work out that way Lijo; the logistics of transporting the motorcycles is still a nightmare, atleast in this country. We don't want to delay your trip unnecessarily. Its all black or white, no grey area; do the trip from beginning to end or don't do it !!!

Transporting motorcycle by train is quite safe, though involves bit risk and your BP may increase. I would definitely do it again. Just one thing, travel in the same train with bike, and take it as luggage. It is bit costly, but you know the bike is with you, and you can ride with it the moment you leave station.

Your one source of information - Transporting Your Motorcycle(s) - Universal Thread.

PS - But why June? Why not July/Aug when you know for sure the passes are opened?
