S%#t! He's turning right!!!

Never get caught between a car and an exit. The car ahead seems to be headed straight. Don't overtake if the vehicle ahead will be in a position to turn into your path as it heads for an available exit.

Yeah Guru, we were away for more than two weeks and I was practically offline during that time. And yes the Zeus has caught on 'the wandering spirit' just like us

Two weeks, yes. Planned for 10 days but we have quite a few friends in Goa and somehow it stretched on to two weeks.

    Default Viva Goa !

At the risk of sounding like an associate of 'Goa Tourism' do excuse me for my non stop praise of this beautiful state. We have been visiting Goa almost without fail for the past many years. So much so that we have long since ceased to be "visitors". All the popular tourist spots were seen and done with many times. For us it is more of a "homecoming". A little side story is that though both of us are from Bangalore, we got married in a church in Goa ! The church is 415+ years old and every time I climb those steps during our visits, I can close my eyes and try to rewind Four Centuries back to imagine the people who walked on those very steps, it's a humbling experience.

Coming up.. A ride for breakfast to the border and many more glimpses of Goa !

    Cheers

Yeah Harish, The ride down from Hubli via Yellapur to Ankola is lovely !
I used drive on that route by car on project work many years back. Those days the route was infested with iron ore laden trucks and driving was a nightmare. Now with the trucks off the road it really is a pleasure.

Default Breakfast Ride To The Border

As many of us who have ridden around Goa will know, riding in Goa is a real pleasure. The roads are superb and even the narrow interior village roads are pothole and speed breaker free.

Once we had settled down to the Goan holiday routine and felt relaxed, we decided one morning to take a ride for breakfast. What would seem like a loony idea to others seems perfectly logical to us bikers! We decide to ride down to the Maharashtra border for breakfast. Last year we had ridden up to Terakhol- a small village border with MH, but this time we decided to take the highway.

We leave quite early and head on to NH17. Mornings are the best times to ride especially at the coast since it can get quite humid later on.

We reach Panjim and continue North on the highway. We cross many bridges and rivers and pass through villages where Feni was being brewed and the aroma was wafting in the air.

We finally reach the Maharashtra border, just cross it and take a few clicks and turn around and return to the amused looks of the security personnel.

The ride distance was 80k.m. was it for the breakfast or was it for the ride?? We stop near the border for a simple breakfast of bhajji pav and start the ride back. Loony? Maybe

    Cheers Guys !

A breakfast ride within a long tour !!! Salute your spirits sir !!!

Talking of spirit, if fuel is so cheap in Goa, I wonder what the price of liqour is !!!

Yeah Guru, in Goa you are so laid-back and relaxed that sometimes we need to shake ourselves up and just move- hence the ride

And talking of spirit, refueling either the bike or us is like "happy hour".

    Thanks & Take Care
