It’s been an amazing start of the summer for us. April is ‘Goa time’ and just as we were getting ready to kick start our plans, we hear that the xBhp team on the GIR will be in Bangalore on the 25th of March. SunilG had P.M’d “see you in Bangalore”. We were eager to meet the team and also get to meet many other friends we had only met online.
The ‘D’ day was special. Getting to meet and interact with Sunny, Old Fox, SunilG and others and chatting and getting to see many of our friends. The FnF was a lot of fun too. All in all, quite a day to remember.
Just as we were getting over all the excitement of the meet, on the 29th March our picture with a small write up appears in “The Times of India” Bangalore: http://epaper.timesofindia.com/Defau...&ViewMode=HTML
It seemed like the roller-coaster ride just wasn’t coming down! But after the dust sort of settled a little, we finally got down to getting ready for the tour. Goa is an annual ritual for us and what was to be a 10 day trip stretched on to two weeks. This may turn out to be quite a long log with mostly pictures to tell the story! And I may be posting in parts as there are many pictures to post.
The Ride & The Route(Onward)
Bangalore/Tumkur/Sira/Hiriyur/Chitrdurga/Davangere/Haveri/Hubli/Yellapur/Ankola/Karwar/Canacona/Margao/Colva (662k.m)

As always, we take off early to get out of Bangalore before the mad rush begins. As we pass the empty Nelamangala toll booth, we remember the sea of xBhp bikers we had met there just a few days back !

On to the ‘arrow straight’ NH4. As phanikar who just done this stretch recently had commented, it can really get boring after a while. The advantage is the good timing we can get.

We had breakfast at a place which looked quite decent but served lousy stuff

We are at the Hubli bye pass by noon and turn on to NH67. The road is in top condition and in the absence of iron ore laden trucks; it’s a pleasure to ride through the forest. After an early lunch near Yellapur we ride on till we join NH17 near Ankola.

Soon we reach Karwar and as we glimpse the Arabian Sea on the left we know that Goa is just a few minutes away.

We ride through the by now, all too familiar border check post with bored looking cops and we are back into Goa !

Into Goa and the Goan Holiday... Coming Up Soon

Great going Sir
