Default Two Stroke (2-Stroke) Problems/ Help Thread

@all: Please discuss all your issues and problems of 2-stroke machines under this thread. Making separate threads for small (or big) problems with your 2-stroke machines becomes tiresome not only for members who are looking for information, but for the moderators as well.

This thread would enable all the people who are looking for information (help, basically) regarding 2-strokes to get the requisite info under one roof (read: this thread).

Thanks,
-Aryan
(Moderator - xBhp.com)

P.S: Thread made Universal and Sticky.

Cool My RX 135 5 speed need imported performance spare parts.

Hi Guys my self Asif from hyd.

Recently i bought a RX 135 5 speed, the bike is running fine, but there is play in its connecting Rod & it is making noise. So i have decided to rebore n repair it & i have also decided to increase its performance from performance spare parts not with porting for super fast acceleration and top speed.

so i am looking out for imported performance spare parts like
1) Light weight connecting ROD.
2) piston (not bore).
3) clutch plates & etc.

At present i have a mikuni bs 29 carb & K&N R 1100 Air filter (not on the bike).

can we fit mikuni bs 29 carb on my bike.

Reply.

unless you have some one abroad who know what he is looking for , hunting for light weight conrod can end up in some cheap chinese or taiwanese fake stuff. for info yamaha is not selling the con rod only. it comes along with crank as assembly. you contact Ron at bangalore visit rddreams.com if you need a reliable and safe rebild of the crank. normal lathes use bigger crank pin which will kill the crank for life

BS29 is not suitable for 2 stroke engines

for imported piston and rebore again I think you visit rddreams.com

good luck

my connecting rod is ok, there is just a little play in it which can be solved at d time of repairing.
but i am looking for a connecting rod which can increase performance.

mechanic advised me to go for rebore, he said piston rings are making little noise.

can we just change the piston rings instead of reboring.

Exactly... If there's problem with the con rid, get it changed ... you dont need to rebore..

And beware of mechs who try to induce people into rebore without actually having to do that. If the rings are wasted get them changed.
