the webs vertical play..horizontally its accounted for since the pin and the webs are always perpendicular to each other. you just need to inspect webs for any damage [usually local cranks are hammered a lot], check threads and make sure you source a std pin. the local ones are usually botched using oversize pins and rollers which makes them of no use since the rods themselves are crap. Once you have that figured you can go in for a rod of your choice or budget, starting from the RXK rods to the DT125 or the TZR125 rods.

how much would a TZR rod be for??

But again coming back, i know that the force exerted by the piston is directional, so the vibes are gonna be there, but is there anyway to reduce it further??? even if you do a static balance on the crankshaft, will it come to idle position anywhere, or only when the piston + con rod is at the lowest position??

Or can it not be done at all??

Help me understand this part - RX100/RX135

There's an assembly mentioned as "SHIFT CAM, FORK" (On page 15 RX135 parts catalog). I'm not sure where this is being used in the motorcycle. Is it something related to gears? I'm not able to relate to anything. Can somebody help me pls? Thanks.

One more question - What's the powerbox in RX135 that is missing in RX100?

Yes, but, overhaul needed could only be told after opening engine.

Those are shifters that change gears. when you move the gear lever, the shaft has cams or rather say guides cut like circular slots in em. When the dogs ( literally, called dogs ) , engage disengage the gears, they are the shift cam fork.

The powerbox was a simple cheap tech by yamaha called YEIS. Yamaha Energy induction system. It works like a accumulator in a Hydraulic system, providing additional fuel-air mixture during transient power conditions, by storing extra charge, and supplying that when needed.

It improves the overall power/pull of the engine, and also smoothens out low rpm torque loss, jerking etc. If you need more info i can mail you a small tech brief on this.

as reported above the RX100 and 135 have different crankshafts, so the bearings are not necessarily gonna be same.

Also by new cylinder, does he mean a fresh new cylinder? or a sleeved cylinder??

A new cylinder/piston with rings/gudgeon pin kit is for 6000 rs. Also the crank rebuilding, assembly, change of bearings and oil seals will cost you atleast 2000 rs. Keep that in mind, and buy genuine parts only. That is the key to a long life of your bike.

Otherwise if you can come to faridabad, i can guide you to the shop which has a brand new sealed crankshaft lying for the RX100. mrp - 3500/-

Buy that, get a new cylinder kit ( total 9.5k!! , plus labour, oil seals, bearings etc another 1.5-2k ) you will have a brand new engine with everything fresh and new!!

as funny as it may sound..the main bearings are the same for both RX's. the topend bearings. baaki sab same
