I run on 4S barrel with 5S gearbox on RX100 exhaust; infact, the cylinder & gears are fitted on to RX100; and yes, I've removed all the blockings from the muffler (core)Originally posted by krazyguy View Posthere any guy's using rx 100 silencer on their 5speed & how is the bike behaving after installing it.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

no need if you are using the OE filter
ok.how much Rxz clutch cover cost's.

get a RXZ clutch cover, it comes with built in hole and retainer screw for the mechanical RPM .but make sure you get all the other stuff and also the cable .they are rare to find.
it is very difficult to find out rxz clutch cover.

Balancing a RX crankshaft
Hi all,
As recently posted, i rebuilt my RXZ. The engine is currently running a first oversize, no sleeving, with brand new rings, bearings, oil seals. I wanted to get a big rebuild done by atul, but due to financial constraints that idea did not materialize.
The con-rod and roller bearings have been changed, since there was a lot of play in them.
My issue is, during the running in period, the engine vibrations till 4000 rpm are bearable. But after 4000-4500 rpm, it simply starts resonating.. Well over stating, but yeah the vibrations are far too much...
My query is. Is there any way to balance the crank dynamically with the piston attached??? so that the vibrations are minimum???
We have counter balancing shafts and what not, now that cant be implemented in a RX. But what can be done so that the vibrations are manageable???
I would like an insight from the tuners, as well as the regular rebuilders.
So help me out please.

Visit rdd website. Ron as said he is going to do crank re-balancing using RXK rod. Don't know if thats what you are looking for but check out nonetheless.Originally posted by jd666 View PostHi all,

^^ but how do you guys get it done??? as in whats the best way to keep vibes to a minimum??? i remember removing and adding lead from the crank of a RD to balance it dynamically. Im looking at balacing it for a higher rev range.

The RX crank has no lead weights like the RD crank, and needs to be balanced on 3 sides, that is the web dia, the shafts and finally the threads. Truing the crank is a delicate process and no room for error can be left as excess vibrations can cause damage, such as engine casing crack, or premature bearing failure. plus the motor cannot make power as well.
I personally get it done using a hydraulic press and a couple of jigs with mutiple dial gauges. The trick lies in getting the webs aligned before you insert the pin fully on the press.
In either case, you need to replace the crank, or get it rebuilt professionally using decent rods. Stay away from local MB rods83' RD350 HT

^^ thanks atul.. a good insight... enough to get me started on researching... i was getting a RX100 brand new crank for 3500 mrp, sept 2009 packaging OEM yamaha. Was really tempted, but before all that, wanted to know if a crank can be brought together in a better way than the one used locally.
Is measuring run out the only way to ensure its balanced right? ( vertically and horizontally?? )
