By the legacy which Hero Honda has i feel New ZMA or ZMR will be a turn down, also in the pictures too it doesn't feel so refreshing it still has the not moved away from the dated looks of the old one.
Some where in orkut i read that its gonna be 19 bhp which is lesser than Pulsar 220.

Wait for the new Karizma...its again going to be a trend setter among Indian motorcycles in 200cc+ category like the way Karizma was when it was launched

And if someone tells u that HOnda has given an old engine to HH and blah blah blah...so be it man! Would you really care about it if it makes the bike the best in the business?

Yes, its gonna be expensive but then you are getting one of the most reliable technologies (PGM-FI) the motorcycling world has ever seen! Its a fact everyone knows!

Whereas looks are concerned, if it suits your eye then its all fine

So wait for it. You don't want to say later "mannn....I could have spend more and got this new Karizma!!!"

I have the same problem, Launch of ZMR is not confirmed by HH. And 220 is rich in Safety features, Tubeless, rear Disk, Projector Lamp......

But Karizma's finish for even ZMA is superb, paint quality, graphics, Fairing & Engine refinement.

Dealer for HH are saying that it cud get delayed till October........ Tried to contact HH marketing guys, even they are not letting the exact date like thing.......

Guys, I have a few queries for ZMA
  1. Can Pulsar 220 tyres be finely put in ZMa wheels?
  2. Can the wheel change be done for rear wheel, with 220's to add rear disk?
  3. Is there any great Head Light upgrade possible for ZMA?

I guess, if all the 3 above can be done, i will go and buy ZMA

Your first question is a sure no-no since Pulsar's are 17"wheels and Zma's 18". The same apply to your second query.
Third read light thread in UT to know about HID's or other bulbs.

i suggest you go in for 220, the zma or the zmr doesn't look like a well finished product as of now. and the fastest Indian offers you a lot already

Default Go for Zma-R

@hondarider : As a wing rider, you may not like Pulsars, especially, the engine refinement, seating posture, suspension, gearbox etc etc. You can close your eyes and go for present Zma-R, b'cos the new Zma will be priced in par with new features it would sport (assume strict hike of min. 10K for PGMFi) etc etc etc !!
Whether HH will stop present Zma-R or not it's not clear, if they close, there will be many people who would still prefer non-Fi Zma-R, so weigh options and decide.
> If your budget is tight at 80K, then go and book Zma-R.
> If money is not a problem, then better wait and then take a call.

@vipin_s: Have you ridden the new 220? Or the Zma-Fi?

Last week end (sat), I had test driven the new P220 .... In fact I went along with my friend who already has P220 DTSFi, even his opinion was 'not impressive'.
I have no idea about Zma-Fi, I just recommended Zma-R (the present one), according to me it's still a good bet in premium segment.

It's just my opinion, if it's offensive please delete the post. Thanks.

Thumbs up zma is the best

well zma has stood as a proven and reliable bikes for more than a decade. and many persons who have used the older 220 and karizma have felt that karizma is a winner in long term when it comes to maintenance, stability, i am not talking about mileage here. i feel the current zma with R looks are not tht good as compared to the older karizma. i feel its worth waiting as zma will as always prove itself
