i completly agree with you, i aint backing the PGM-FI platform a bit, cause HERO is no more in a tie-up with HONDA,so honda might not allow its technology to be used, but KARIZMA being a flagship model,u can never say,and yeah i dont think with the presence of bajaj pulsar 220 dts-i,HERO HONDA will commit sucide by pricing it above 1lakh!

its a very well kept secret bro,an Indian flagship bike of a leading bike manufacturer, which has created so much hype, its just so awesome!
even the branch people are being kept in the dark, its something either very awesome or something which can be a big let down.the video clearly indicates a BLACK silencer, same tyres like karizma-r,full fairing is definite!

so what did the showroom people tell you?
many people in the HH showroom are damn confused, they themselves dont know what the new KARIZMA is all about!
if you all clearly remember,HERO had broken up with the HONDA partnership,so its very unlikely that the karizma will sport the PGM-FI technology, also before people start pouncing on me,i am a mass comm student so i get my facts right and also, there will be people who will question about the GLAMOUR being PGM-FI,but keep in mind the glamour had the PGM-FI around 3 years back, and that time HERO was in partnership with HONDA!
but no one has seen the cat inside the bag, keep your fingers crossed, but if the karizma is coming on the PGM-FI platform, expect to may a very premium price!
Are you sure about that, Hero and Honda are still together, they had renewed their partnership contract a few years ago and whenever their contract is over we will get to know that, if partnership is broken its a very major thing which will be in news and papers, lets hope the ZMR comes loaded and also with tubeless tires for Tourers

check out the HeroHonda website it has mentioned Honda in a lot of places and you can also check the board of directors have a few Japanese guys who have been working with Honda Japan and at the same time with HeroHonda

This website is for sale! herohonda.com is your first and best source for information about herohonda. Here you will also find topics relating to issues of general interest. We hope you find what you are looking for!

              Thread made sticky

This thread has been made sticky for future reference of people who want to compare the two, Zma vs the 220.

We will not be further approving such queries and threads unless there is a genuine change in the two motorcycles.

You can also refer here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/what-bik...ar-220-fi.html and several other such threads on the What bike and Help me sections!

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Unlike the speculation over the launch of new ZMA F1 that has been making the rounds for many years. The launch of new ZMA this time is not a speculation anymore. I got my ZMA R about 4 months back. But then the new ZMA was nowhere in the radar at that time. If I hadn't bought my bike then, I will gladly wait for the new ZMA. I don't know what it'll be like. I don't know If I'll be able to afford it. I'll just wait and see.

Back then, I too had face some dilemma while choosing. The difference is I have all the information I needed among my list.

Your dilemma is between P220 DTS-i and new ZMA. We know enough about p220 DTS-i. Very few to nothing about new ZMA. Don't make your decision with only half knowledge.

Its nice to tease our imagination with speculations and expection, and I do enjoy participating. The reality is no one can provide a definitive answer on the new ZMA looks, performance, price etc.. Just wait.

There is answer in your question if your first love was zma then go for it no need to ask questions bro but one thing more the bike is awesome but beware of it's expensive spares... HH will do nothing about it you can see the older zma spares rates...GO FOR IT..

I personally believe the old karizma R is out of production. Me booked a karizma R last month in chennai. The showroom guys were reluctant to make a booking and they said they are not able to deliver karizma R for the people who have booked two months before me and i was said that I may or may not get my bike. When I asked them about ZMR they were clueless Is karizma R still available in other cities?

that is not the case here in chennai. I checked out with all the dealers here and all of them told me a waiting time of a minimum of two months. As spiderweb said may be stock clearence going on. I like ZMA a lot so I went ahead and booked it irrespective of the waiting time. If the new ZMR comes out soon and if it carries a price tag of around 90k may be I wid get it Its just wait and wait and watch now
