I come here with the same question, doubt over ZMA vs P220 DTSi.. Presently I own a Hunk and want an upgrade (off late doing loads of long range highway tours and hunk falls behind the pack
)..
I have rode the ZMA many times and just recently a friend of my (also a xbhp mem) bought a New P220 DTS-i hence took a quick ride on his machine..
Things r more confusing than ever for me, both are same price.. Being a HH users, brain says Reliability of HH where as P220 DTS-i just seems irresistible to the heart

there is nthing to get confused, if u cnt wait evn then u cn go fr present karizma ....karizma has been always outstanding.....evn then if u r confused then go to hh showroom and also to the pulser showroom u il find many pulser 220 bikes with several complications .....evn fr long drives like 800-1000 km ,if nt evn fr 250 r around long drives karizma il give u a far better performance than p220......my advice is go fr karizma

Better wait for the new ZMA as its launch is just around the corner.... I would not recommend you the current ZMA-R... as its very out-dated... and moreover once the new ZMA comes... the old will lose its value big time and you never know if the new ZMA is just 8-10k more than the present model, better to wait then repent.
However, if you want a bike right now... as far as I feel, you may choose the new P220 (just because the present ZMA is too old, and when you know its going to be replaced very soon.... its better not buy it).Chetan

According to Sirish Chandran from the Overdrive show on CNBC, the new Karizma will not have any power upgrade. It'll have a full fairing, though.Comment

Take your time.If you love ZMA (or ZMR) then wait for its launch,compare it with other bikes in its segment like P220.
Also,there's one more point worth mentioning-The new bike will offer Honda's PGM-Fi and that means it'd cost near or somewhere equal to the R15 range.So that means you have one more option to choose from...
P220 DTSi ...I haven't had a chance to ride one but many ppl in and outside Xbhp are often seen praising the bike and talking of its immense torque and power delivery...so you can't put it down for any reason...

price : smthn around 1 lac mark ...
nd d bikez gonna b launch on EID ... ie 21st sept ...
buh since d bike was scheduled 4 a test day b4 yest ..... nd it somehow got delayed .... so u can expect d beast till dusshera....

many people in the HH showroom are damn confused,they themselves dont know what the new KARIZMA is all about!
if you all clearly remember,HERO had broken up with the HONDA partnership,so its very unlikely that the karizma will sport the PGM-FI technology,also before people start pouncing on me,i am a mass comm student so i get my facts right and also,there will be people who will question about the GLAMOUR being PGM-FI,but keep in mind the glamour had the PGM-FI around 3 years back,and that time HERO was in partnership with HONDA!
but no one has seen the cat inside the bag,keep your fingers crossed,but if the karizma is coming on the PGM-FI platform,expect to may a very premium price!MOHNISHComment
