Default xBhp magazine feedback thread!!

Moderator's message:
Please use this thread to share your valuable feedback for our xBhp magazine. Praise, suggestions, and constructive criticism are all welcome. Mere brickbats will be useless.

It is said that no Art form is truly art without a critic criticizing it in earnest. The art of criticism is as old as art itself. I propose this thread to be a place to highlight aspects that we did not like about our magazine. We want this magazine to be the bikers’ bible not only for Indian Bikers but for Bikers all over the world. This would be the space where we tell the editorial team of the magazine, which is doing such wonderful work in putting together this magazine, places where they might have missed the mark and aspects we feel can be improved upon. The team is perhaps one of the very few in the world which is constantly in touch with its readers through this interactive site xbhp.com. If we point out the flaws in the magazine as we see them, I am sure we will have a constantly improving world class – XBHP.

To set the ball rolling:
While I enjoyed reading the magazine a lot, I feel that there were too many Ladakh trips for one issue. One trip to one location for one issue is all I can digest, it tends to be monotonous after a while even if there are different bikes with different riders making the trip.

I know this has been discussed in the launch event at Chennai, but still, I would like to subscribe for 3 years, but finding little lazy to send a DD/Cheque leaf & prefer paying through online before exhausting the first issue.

How soon can I expect the CCAvenue to be in action before the first issue getting exhausted?

The magazine is just what every rider wants. It has great Road values and detailed riding routes. I just love the part where the map is provided with every pic of the rides.

But I'm not able to play the DVD which came with this issue. Any pointer for that? Can something be done on that part? I've heard so much about the DVD contents that I want to see it even more eagerly.

> Suggestion: Can the magazine be a little more descriptive in some new bikes which are in the range of 70k to 1.5L? Currently it seemed that all the magazine detailed about was superbiking in majority.

Get one of these installed on your system
1. VideoLAN - VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player
2. MPCSTAR - Play all your Movies and Music!

A lot of people have reported that the DVD is not playing. By default it should play with windows media player.

There is a free software called IsoBuster.
It can read data from a cracked CD too. Try extracting the video files using it.

The DVD was not in a cover, its was rubbing on with magazine and that might have caused the problem.

Try the VLC player 'cause Sunny used it to play it for us during the Chennai xBhp magazine launch.
@Nik - Well, WM player requires plugin-ins to support certain format & those plugin-ins are available from MS site. So unless one installs those plugin-ins, WM player is not good to play all the format. But with VLC & MPC, most of the standard & little non-standard formats are supported without any additional plugin-ins. Besides, both of them are 100% free software without any question on licensing issues.

Guys I know about all these players but what I wanted to say is that the DVD is not even getting detected on my lappy. When I insert the DVD, there is no response from the laptop n then I have to eject it out without even browsing through it by opening its folder for contents.
