I got my copy yesterday at Sapna BookStall Bangalore. I must first congratulate the team on coming up with such a Magazine. Great job guys. Read a few articles yesterday and the article by OldFox was very good, lots to learn from that article. Still have to go through most of the magazine. The DIY section is a nice touch. Would be a nice idea to put the future DIY sections in video if you are going to have DVD's in future.
Me too felt that there were just too many Ladakh rides in the issue and being this the first issue it would've been a nice idea to have 4 different articles/rides from 4 different corners of the country.
Also a minor qualm, please stop using the derogatory terms like "cagers" for car drivers. That might be ok to use the forum but not in a magazine.

Thanks, point taken. However I feel that cagers is not really derogatory but a jab at the funny bone to all of us (including me) of our parallel selves when in cars. It is just unharmful attitude, nothing more. But we will consider what you suggested!Originally posted by KonfuSed View PostI got my copy yesterday at Sapna BookStall Bangalore. About the Ladakh rides: In retrospect we should have made the part in the contents bigger, wher it says this a Leh special issue because of the slew of rides in the last couple of months to that region coupled with the mega Bandit ride.
The suggestion about DIY in the DVD is a good idea, however we plan to put them up online at the website down the line rather than give them away in DVDs, however will will consider that once we have enought DIY videos.
Thanks for taking out time and posting up! We intend to make the quality of the mag better and better with each issue!

@harish: thanks for taking out time for feedback! First and foremost we will never delete edit your post (unless and until the sole purpose of it is to demean and abuse!). plus
flawless payback on my Old Philips DVD player, sound is satisfactory. the story is already known being active on XBHP. but for the first timer the concept is good. yeh i liked it. fine way to start.
minus
presentation should improve, knowledge of viedography and equipment may have resulted in a better output. use of hand microphone is visually un appealing. water on camera lens etc.
its a documentary and not a movie, also the water on lens in the khardungla ride was allowed deliberately to be there to enhance the inclement weather conditions
quality of video equipment is poor( or DVD mastering is poor) for a DVD quality transfer. result true DVD quality is lacking. focus / sharpness is lacking in the picture.
I am not sure what you are taking about here, could be many reasons, but for a dicumentary and real life filming, we were satisfied. However we will aim to better it in the future documentaries!
now i know that the conditions for videography are difficult, but that is not applicable to a professional magazine DVD.
for some comparison i have compared your DVD loosely with DT productions one crazy ride.
Havent seen that one, though I will assume you are right here! Also i am sure the equipmeent used and the purpose of the two docs are very different!
But the effort is good and i request XBHP to take contributions from members for the next DVD.
Sure, but they must be of the quality we seek for, and the quality the members like you expect
I would rate the DVD as a good effort to compliment the new mag and will be part of my Bike DVD collection.
Thank you
magazine review in 2 /3 days.
Looking forward to it

Watched the DVD today. I liked the video part of it, nicely shot most of the time. Good quality and high resolution video is a big plus point (I;m not sure why harish is feeling the DVD quality is bad, it's looking good on my big screen. Yes, there are shakes at times but I felt it was intentional and adds to the feel). Only issue was with the narration as it lacked a good narrator to tell the story. It looks amateurish many times. Also the mike should've been a wireless one which will be clipped on to the shirt/jacket. That would've looked better and you probably would've been able to capture what the biker was telling during the ride instead of standing and holding the mike. But considering this the first time I think it was fine. May be this will get better as time goes by. All in all, I loved the videos, brought back lots of memories of my Ladakh trip. Roads seems to be even worse now.

Good start
First and fore most a BIG congrates for getting such a thing rolling.
I do understand that how difficult it is to start something like this and still keep it different from others and continue to do the awesome work and always deliver on it time and again.
To start with I think this is the first of this kind of magzine which purely live and eat motorcycles. Thanks for being there.
Now about the first issue, it is awesome though I agree that too much of Ladak travellougs take away the fun factor. But again very good work for the first issue.
I always appericated the quality of the photographs. They are just awesome. I always look forward for them online and now offline(i.e. in magzine). It would have been so cool if I could able to capture the same.
Lastly congrates again and keep it up guys.Bike & Bikers Rulez.

I grabbed my copy sometime last week & since then have been amazed at the quality of content and photos in the magazine. I'm yet to complete reading the entire content, but the photos in every page speak for themselves. The best magazine on motorbiking in India, for the bikers by the bikers
Couldn't resist snapping the magazine and posting it here. Have few feedback, which I'll post it in few days after I complete reading it!

Great work team, appreciate your hardwork in bringing the magazine live!

Loved the magazine.
Just one small feedback. A lot of the language that I saw in the articles was more of forum oriented in terms of slang, grammar etc. To expand readership beyond the online forumites we need to step up to the language level of other established magazines.
I'm sure that the editors are doing a good job but it would also be good to look at 'Beta Readers' who check and edit the articles before they are submitted to the editors. Their job would be to look at the language rather than the content (which can be focused on by editors)
Keep up the good work!!

This is the first bike magazine I've bought in my life, and I really liked it. As many have said before, I too felt that there was a bit too much about riding to Ladakh. However, as its my dream to one day ride all the way there, I sure liked all the articles about those places, as well as the photographs. Thank you, & congratulations to the entire xBhp team!
The 100 Tips on Street Survival by Old Fox is the best article of the mag, according to me. I really loved the informal, and at times funny style of writing.
I'd agree with the post by the xBhp-ian above me, that maybe the grammar and style could be improved. However, we should all bear in mind that the team has done a tremendous job, and that nothing reaches perfection the first time!
The DVD had problems, it wouldn't play on my laptop, so I played it on my friend's laptop, and I enjoyed both the documentaries.
The silhouette biking feature was another great part of the magazine.
So, all in all, even though it is the first issue, the magazine is remarkable. Looking forward eagerly to the next issue!

Got my copy a couple of days back.
1) Enjoyed the DVD documentaries, especially the 'Khardung-La', and that's because I am not so good at understanding "fast english" or you can say foreign english speaking style in which the Italian trip was conveyed.
2) The static part was also good and well wrote, escaping a few mistakes. Liked the most the Khardung-La ride here too.

Increase your speed & watch the fun, when someone falls from a Motorcycle, unfortunately he can't choose which way to fall best & hurt himself less.
