Even i'm from Pune. Would like to know what all areas u ride in so that i can accompany u people for at least few of the rides as riding alone is good, but with other people, it's better.

Also, i'm not a regular one (i used to be earlier), i ride on weekends only and that too max 20-25 km
Hi guys, I'm looking to buy bottle cages for my cycle, cages that can take 2 litre water bottles. I looked at decathlon but I looks small. I would be grateful if someone can guide me to the right place to buy. Thanks in advance.

i even doubt that u will get a single bottle which would contain more than 1 L, that's the max i have seen in decathlon, and i also doubt that the cages available could hold bottle size of 2L capacity
I suggest u get 2 bottle cages fixed for 2 separate bottles, that way u can have 2L serving ur purpose, and i have seen people using 2 cages.

i prefer highways for cycling as we can munch miles without much worry for other vehicles. In city we get too much traffic and crossings.
Love the 29er, big tyres makes huge difference. Tubes are costly - ₹350 per tube costly and hard to find too.
Cycle seat is hard, those gell seat attachments should solve the issue. Or an excercised hard butt works too. [emoji23]
Rear rack is not easily available. You'll need to order them.
            Disc breaks are good.
Handle bar costed about ₹1.5k from Amazon.

Lost my photos due accidental reset of my phone.

Re: Cycling journey with Montra downtown

                    hello all,

after purchasing montra downtown in January 2018, I have finished my two free services. here is my brief experience with downtown.

I used to cycle to office (20 km one way) twice a week and go for a ride approx. 30 km on weekends. now due to harsh summer in humid Chennai , I have stopped cycling to office till sun calms down. still go for weekend rides about 60km.

The accessories I have added are a helmet, seat cover from decathlon and rear and front lights. after adding seat cover and more kilometers now seat is becoming less pain on the ***. I think for rides to office in the city this hybrid is very good.

after second service the shop guys did something to my rear brakes , now they are not stopping the bike as they used to be. can you guys please share some knowledge on how to adjust these disc brakes.

I am finding some rusts forming in the nuts and bolts of cycle. is this common? same in chain sprockets also. can I use normal rust remover like wd40 to remove these?

on what frequency I have to lube the chain? the track n trail fellow was suggesting that it need not be lubed for about 4 months of usage - somehow I can't digest this.

Mechanical disc brakes are terrible and this is why I never advise anyone to buy a low cost bike with mech discs. Not worth the hassle. Disc brakes aren't as easy to adjust as V-brakes. Maybe the cable has run out of life. Very difficult to say without seeing/ riding it.

In Chennai maybe it is! Check with fellow owners if this is a common problem in Chennai considering the humidity. You don't need rust remover for the chain. Just keep it lubed. You can buy the chain lube from Decathlon or go for Finishline.

Lube the chain whenever you see that it is dry. On my road bike I lube it once every two weeks. On my MTB i need to lube it before and after every ride! There is no set duration.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city
