Ahem. The Probiking guy is claiming it to be ~ 35-40. When i ask him about the sources, he says "internet"! I hope its not a grape wine or a cyclical error where everyone is claiming what they hear from others.Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View Post30-35 max! That too on sedate riding.

Thanks a lot!Originally posted by J K View Post
congrats...! to both of you
Had a test drive guys?
yes i had something of a TD, rode it for some 5-6 mins, it seems nice, only thing i din't like was the gear shifts. they are a bit tacky and make that weird sound, neutral was a bit hard to find as well.
It does have a lot of power! thrusts you back with just a flick of the wrist.!
It was revving till 11k rpm, could have been 11500, not sure as it was hard to make out the small digits depicting rpm.
The person who handles bajaj in North and East India was also there, when i asked him about the rev limiter, he told me that the rev limiter would kick in at 7500 rpm for the first 1000kms and after that it would be removed!
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

glad i can be of some help. these finer things are missed out in official reviews.Originally posted by glider99 View Postyesterday i went to see the bike here in goa. thanks to your post
i was aware of the tank shape and you are absolutely right, for me it just fits. i am 5'9". anybody taller the knees might touch.
anyway, the only think i did not like about the bike is the shape of the tank. on all the pictures of the bike on the net i had not seen a single picture from the tank from top so i was a bit surprised that it is so bulky. it looks somehow odd and more like a enduro bikes tank. also it looks rather big and then on the other hand it has rather less capacity which is not so nice engineering.
yes, even here in pune probiking, they told me the same thing. the revlimiter setting can be changed by service people and will be kept low till running-in and then raised to 11500 RPM.Originally posted by Rahul.Gvli View PostWhat !!? As per his statementOriginally posted by Rahul.Gvli View PostDo you want to say that the rev-limiter will be "removed/won't kick-in" once run-in period is over..!?
"The person who handles bajaj in North and East India was also there, when i asked him about the rev limiter, he told me that the rev limiter would kick in at 7500 rpm for the first 1000kms and after that it would be removed!
"
I'm guessing that showroom guy didn't know what is rev-limiter, and must have got confused and thought that the person was asking about running-in period of the bike.

That is a smart thing to do to avoid future servicing wooes!
There goes MotoMan running in
