OF sir: Marvelous!! Gem of a review. Your explanation to each & every point is superb. One suggestion. You don't need to answer to any Tom (lockhrt999), Dick (lockhrt999) & Harry (lockhrt999). They are here to satisfy their search for personal AURA.
Your knowledge can never ever be matched. We know that very well.

Fantastic pictures. Truly. Great work team. Fantastic.

Actually he doesn't have the time to read. He wants everything served on his plate and spoonfed even if the answer to his query would have been given just 10 posts prior to his own post.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Yes, my fellow biker. I wrote that post because I felt that R15 should have never been brought into comparison at all here. On the other side, I am one of those who have met Old Fox personally a few times on numbers of Delhi G2Gs, though he may not recognize me by my xbhp ID And he is one of those members here who can bring sense back to a discussion that has lost its way

Excellent review. Waiting to see the P200NS...

It's mentioned in the review thats the P200NS has good stability in straight lines but how good is it exactly? How different is its stability at 110kmph when compared to 80 kmph...

I ride an RTR 180 and its stability at speeds excess of 110 kmph sucks to the core...

And also, it would be nice if you can provide the details about the sprocket size of P200NS... and probably even the KTM 200

Is this guy blind? OldFox, Antz.bin have replied to this numerous times and still this guy seems to be missing the point that it is the addition of the spark plug that makes the engine pass emission norms without the implementation of Fuel Injection system. FI was obviously avoided to keep the overall costs down. The extra spark plugs help in better combustion and since combustion is better, lesser emission of harmful gases. Since lesser harmful gases are emitted, the engine passes emission norms with a little cat-con and no end can at all.

I hope now you get it. Bajaj introduced the second method.

A very precise answer to what we need to bear in mind before comparing one motorcycle to another just because they fall in the same price range.
I had a tough time explaining to my friends why I bought a RTR180 when I could stretch my budget some more and buy a 'proper' sports bike

Perhaps you didn't get the sarcasm in my post or possibly you quoted wrong post or probably my expectation of sense of humor from board members has gone a notch too high

anyway, just so that you are not confused, the second method I was referring to was "with a single spark plug", apparently Bajaj's innovation requires more spark plugs. You will do well if you follow the posts properly.

                    • @The Monk: I understand sir. My only discomfort was that they mentioned the performance figures of r15 and cbr250r, which I still believe was unnecessary being that these motorcycles are so different in many ways. Probably they could have just hinted at the competition by simply saying that a motorcycle in a mostly untouched category (street fighter) is being introduced in a niche motorcycle market. Just a thought :-)

                      • Why are we arguing and comparing the bikes? This is a new bike and new technology of 3 SP. Bajaj has already given us a legend in the Pulsar series earlier and they always make the competition more tougher for other manufacturers to bring in good bikes at reasonable pricing, So let the bike come on the road and then we can comment on the touring and 3 SP efficiency. As of now just enjoy this great bike launched by BAJAJ.

                        • Accleration video of Pulsar 200 NS is UP!!

                          0-100km/hr in 9.5 seconds!!

Pulsar 200NS Lap at Chakan - OVERDRIVE - YouTube

The only disappointment bit is that the bike(with 23.5PS of power) struggles after hitting 120km/hr in adding up the digits in a stark contrast with the P220 which just goes on and on!!

Also considering the claimed timing of 9.8 secs by Bajaj as against the speedo speeds(which is around 9.5-9.6 seconds), i believe the speedo has got 98-100% accuracy.

Leaving the acceleration bit, the bike sounds incredibly throaty and revvy in nature, should be fun. Also the midrange thrust looked meaty.

That was a nice video, reminds me of all the MCN test ride videos on track. Nice job Overdrive I guess.

It looks like it has good mid-end grunt ( 80kmph-110 kmph), it does pick up speed pretty quickly, revs pretty smooth too, I see the needle near the red-line out of every corner and it does that pretty effortlessly ... Wish there was one of KTM Duke too

One of the reasons which could be a factor for its struggle after 120kph could be the wind blast (semi faired eg p220 deflects wind away from the rider to some extent, especially when one is in full-riding gear)
