Do you know the difference between THEORETICAL POSSIBILITY and PRACTICAL FITMENT..? Please understand my previous post and then enlighten others.. This isn't worth arguing, but just finally penned down my opinion because I know what I'm on about..Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Post

Regarding bold above. Can you please share the gear ratios of the 200NS? I really need it, tried searching but couldn't find it. The reason why I need is, as I need to do some calculations to see if I can think of buying this bike. Thanks.Originally posted by surya220 View PostA bike's top speed and acceleration isn't dependent upon its FAIRING or POWER OUTPUT, but rather its GEARING.. The 200 NS, though having 6 gears, has a shorter overall gearing for better acceleration rather than outright top speed.. Consider this for example.. A P220 has 21 bhp, Ninja 250R has 33bhp; but the top speed difference is only around 20-25 kmph.. But, the Ninja crosses 140+ easily without any strain while the 220 will have rapid progress only till about 120.. after that, it'll take time to build speed.. Hope this clears your doubt.. Lets just hope that we have a 250FS soon..
Often I use my R15 after a gap of few days. No issues in starting the bike.Originally posted by J K View PostGuys, one thing.
This is question to current xbhpians having "non-kick start bike" like r15, cbr250r, p220, FZ-s etc..... guys please reply...
Again, can you please share the gear ratio numbers of 5th gear of 220 Fi and 4th gear of 220 Carb? Thanks.Originally posted by surya220 View PostGlad to know mate.. I just wanted to clarify that because Bajaj might be planning to market the NS as a CITY SLICKER and the FS (if there is one) as a TOURER.. much like what Yamaha does with the FZ/Fazer.. As for the comparison of the 220 Carb with the 220 Fi, the Fi's 5th gear ratio is the 4th gear ratio of the Carb.. Hence, where the Fi does 80kmph in 5th gear at 6k rpm, the Carb does the same 80 at 6k rpm in 4th gear.. Hope this literal example settles the dust down on the gear ratio topic..2000 Suzuki Fiero | 2004 Bullet Electra | 2004 RX135 | 2005 CBZ | 2009 Karizma | 2009 Punto 1.4 Petrol | 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15
Nav is back !!!
Getting Leh'ed. Since 2007...

A call to another regular dealership here (Jai Autos, Chennai) confirmed that. The P200NS booking is expected at the end of this month and the deliveries in April, however, they say, that is yet to be confirmed.
Hey Thanks Prakash..
Got the logic for the probiking guys to persuade me to go for KTM everytime.
Guess will Book the 200NS with OSL bajaj this weekend.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Saw the 200NS being tested yesterday.
First thought that it was a 135LS. But then realised it is much bigger. I could keep up with my 220Fi with some effort. The rider was not confident while cornering. My 220 would catch up the distance in the corners. And loose some on straights. But i was all out with knees pointing out and race crouched.
Also overtook him few times. Got to see the bike from side. It looks as if the bike is over styled. The middle panel and all other small panels were same color as tank. Red. Due to four valves the 200NS accelerated quite good! But the top end was not more than 220 i think. My 220 would lag behind during acceleration and would catch up at top end. But i have reduced grip on my old rear tyre also.
The big mud guard at the rear looks funny. Reminded me of some scooter. All in all a typical 200cc streetbike.

Nitro.. Did you see the same model which DAMAN gave a picture of?(i.e) was the fairing one single colour instead of what we swa on the unveil pics???Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostSaw the 200NS being tested yesterday.

And "the big mud guard".. I know its detachable. But can anyone please let me know whether it is a must as per traffic norms. I drive in kolkata, and the surgeons are always looking foe an excuse to give a case!!!!!

We should refer to it as the big ugly mudguard [b u m]Originally posted by Shibadip View PostAnd "the big mud guard".. I know its detachable. I think the unveil bike pitures looked better than one colour!!
BAL should give us the dual coloured bikes, as the single colour looks monotonous and bulky!!

i think its 150 ns...may be they are planning mat black panels under the tank for 200ns only....Originally posted by Dman View Postguys check this out. i think this could be the final showroom version.Complete with a stylish one side mounted ( at least from the looks of it ) tire huger and also with an additional removable front mudguard flap as usual as seen on all pulsars. Also in the pics if you could take a closer look, you can see some minute changes in the overall colour scheme of the side panels and tank panel which now come in the base body colour and which if i am not wrong were painted matte black in contrast with the rest of the tank and the overall body paint scheme. The other inclusions i could spot was the very much useful engine guard which as usual has been placed and designed in a much suited way to the overall aesthetics of the pulsar.Surprisingly i was not able to spot the grills (or the fencing kind of design of the saree guard).the number plate is now on the fairing like that of the FZ16 i found this pic in the motoroids forum (actually clicked by guys at team bhp i guess)when i was searching for the latest pics of the 200ns in blue in google. so i thought of sharing it in here. i hope i am posting a fresh pic rather than wasting space.

Top speed on dyno is one thing and top speed on road is another.
A motorbike is not limited to its 'fairing' or gearing ratios... thats like saying that a mentally challenged long legged man should always be faster than a sly agile dwarf!

Well, Jai Autos, Adyar says the bookings might start by the end of this month, however they are not promising anything. Guess, the best thing to do is keep monitoring (call em every alternate day for the booking date) and rush to the showrooms when we get the date. And yes, post the date here as well for our fellow biker brothers.Originally posted by vishnukuttan1988 View Posti had called up this jai autos thambaram sanitorium and they told bookin will start only on april 1st....

After reading your post i called baga link which is the oldest showroom in India for Bajaj in New Delhi. They told me that the bike hasn't been launched as of yet even the price has not been revealed so they cant book it. They say that booking will start in April. And trust me when the guyz at baga say that it because these guyz will get the bike first.Originally posted by vishnukuttan1988 View Postxactly....
