Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Review: xBhp's Ride Report

guys check this out. i think this could be the final showroom version.Complete with a stylish one side mounted ( at least from the looks of it ) tire huger and also with an additional removable front mudguard flap as usual as seen on all pulsars. Also in the pics if you could take a closer look,you can see some minute changes in the overall colour scheme of the side panels and tank panel which now come in the base body colour and which if i am not wrong were painted matte black in contrast with the rest of the tank and the overall body paint scheme.The other inclusions i could spot was the very much useful engine guard which as usual has been placed and designed in a much suited way to the overall aesthetics of the pulsar.Surprisingly i was not able to spot the grills (or the fencing kind of design of the saree guard).the number plate is now on the fairing like that of the FZ16 i found this pic in the motoroids forum (actually clicked by guys at team bhp i guess)when i was searching for the latest pics of the 200ns in blue in google. so i thought of sharing it in here. i hope i am posting a fresh pic rather than wasting space.

Shibadip, the Chennai Probiking folks say the 200NS will not be dealt by them and will be available at regular dealerships only. The Probiking would be exclusively for KTM and Kawasaki. Even P220 would be off soon. A call to another regular dealership here (Jai Autos, Chennai) confirmed that. The P200NS booking is expected at the end of this month and the deliveries in April, however, they say, that is yet to be confirmed.

can't find the pulsar decal anywhereand the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Ya, don't seeing Pulsar logo and 200NS badging in the picture.

And in my opinion, the previous bikes were looking cool with that black finish on tank..!

hmm...somehow i knew you would say that. I do have a similar opinion.But the tank seem to have achieved even more massiveness n bulk as a result of the body coloring of the tank panels though the conversion of the overall color scheme of side panels from the matte seem to have been a bad move. they could have retained the matte on the center side panel. and yeah the decals n pulsar logo will come on it again when the time comes during the showroom debut.and since all other things like the tire huger n front mud guard flaps are all removable as usual so no worries.Originally posted by J K View PostYa, don't seeing Pulsar logo and 200NS badging in the picture.

Dear Niks, its THEORETICALLY POSSIBLE.. But, in real world, it'll not reach the said 250+kmph, EVEN ON A DOWNHILL ROAD due to lack of torque.. also, the fairing is there to make a major difference in the rider comfort rather than ONLY top speed.. the Ninja 650R and the naked er-6n have the same top speed.. Just the difference being that the rider will have a hard time even when crouched on the naked at 200kmph compared to the faired bike.. hope i've made myself clear mate..Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostAre you sure? can u put an R1's gear box on a p220 and make it cross 250 kmph ?

Glad to know mate.. I just wanted to clarify that because Bajaj might be planning to market the NS as a CITY SLICKER and the FS (if there is one) as a TOURER.. much like what Yamaha does with the FZ/Fazer.. As for the comparison of the 220 Carb with the 220 Fi, the Fi's 5th gear ratio is the 4th gear ratio of the Carb.. Hence, where the Fi does 80kmph in 5th gear at 6k rpm, the Carb does the same 80 at 6k rpm in 4th gear.. @ surya 220 & DEVIL 666,thanks for the info guys. @ surya220 but what you said is what i am already aware of that. and that is the same reason behind the duke's low top end also and also one of the reasons behind 2009 pulsar 220 dtsi's increase in top whack over the his predecessor the 2008 pulsar 220 dts-fi. I was only doubtful on the fairing's involvement & influence (despite even after leading to more weight and slightly reduced initial) in increasing the overall top end of the bike over its bikini faired/non faired cousin like in the case of 220 F having more on topend and 220 S having more on acceleration & initial.
Has Rajiv Bajaj mentioned anything about Faired version for the future..?sigpicMy IBA SS delayed.. Damn.. ;-(

Nothing happened for my p-180 till now.never faced any starting problem except for one time which happened because of empty petrol tank..:d:d.
But, my friends are getting problems in their passion pros and glamour, and they are using kickers now...
Dont like to blame hero, but its happening..
