Sorry mods, if this is OT. Before I start my comments, just wanted to say this is a very great forum and the review by Old Fox was astounding. Awesome.. In fact, his review is what made me post this else it was the P220.

I just booked a P220 speedline from Chennai ProBiking despite knowing that 200NS was around the corner. Two primary reasons for choosing the P220 were a) the 55W projector lamp since I travel after dusk frequently and b) the rear lofty pillion seat as seen in the pictures and as told in the reviews are not pillion friendly which wifey would abhor.

Just wanted to know if the P220 booking was a bloody blunder or if it's okay. I am asking this since we now have a test-ride review of the P200 that can be compared to the P220. If there already is a comparison, please provide the link. Just want to know in the little time available if I should cancel the P220 booking.

May change my mind if faired version comes soon.
      Which version you interested in?
      in coimbatore?
      which showroom?

        I always like Naked Bikes.

In my opinion, faired ones, will have less mileage ,due to added weight.
I agree faired versions have the capability to tour. But I like Naked bikes.

And about the PULSAR Faired series, it'll be (guess) projector lights and FI, etc.. and all... resulting in added price tag.
Even this Pulsar NS's near 1 lakh price tag, made me mad to introduce to parents.. .. At last in some time they accepted ( first bike in my name and in my account )

        Congos to your bike too..!

congrats mate! And are you sure black color is available? 'cause i've not seen black color anywhere.
The SE said, when I asked about the color's - There will be Red, Blue and Black as usual pulsar's. He didn't know a yellow color is there..! hehe
Anyway color choice is when the bikes are arrived.

comparing to 220 you can see the below thread

and yes you will not have 55w projector lamps in p200ns....
but it may be available in faired version.....for which you may have to wait longer than p200ns...

Many thanks Berlin and Rx100. I will call the Chennai Probiking sales person and see if they can hold off on the 220 purchase and let me get the 200NS. I hope they don't refuse.

That's incredible pricing if it's true. Competition will have no option, but to cut prices. So, what's the ex-show room pricce, 80k? it perhaps makes sense, as I suspect that they are going to release 200 FS (with fairing, projector headlamps), which might be 97k OTR, even that is going to find a lot of takers. So bikes like R15, Fazer & CBR150 (whenever it gets launched) are the primary targets here (only pricewise).

I dont think Bajaj will have to worry about competitors even if the pricing had to be 1.1 lakhs or so..reason being..competitors seem to be sinking themselves. Yamaha, for example is playing around with the same 150 cc engine. Honda unicorn, regardless of the bike it is, isnt too popular. Suzuki with its absolutely limited marketing, and very limited dealer/service network is nowhere in the race. Bajaj, with this kind of lame competitors can cruise ahead without much effort.

True that...Especially with suzuki.Others are capable of making headway and Honda infact is trying something new
