    Lovely Write Up Ken Da.
Its good to see some great practical bikes making into India.

I liked the looks of this bike also. The fit and finish seems to be exemplary.
Wow!! Good days ahead for guys like me who intend to buy these bikes in the future. I think all that is left is that our Finance Minister reduces the duties slightly so that these bikes can be more affordable.

    CHEERS!!

BMW Motorrad is known to make exemplary stuff. And yes, good days ahead for people like you... Make the BEST of it!

But why would the Finance Minister reduce duties? But that is a different debate.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Very nice review and very nice pictures as well...Well written
The brake fluid looks dirty or its just the color of reservoir on them?
I also see they are missing their very common rear mud guard or fender as we might call it which is almost referred as BMW style these days....?

Nope, break fluid is not really oxidised. It is still doing fine.

                    @Ken:

What a fantastic and refined write-up, and justifiably loaded with some beautiful photographs of this beauty of a machine!!!

These BMW's on 2-wheels never cease to amaze me, beginning from every nut and bolt on the bikes, right up to the technological wizardry intertwined with the bike!!!

If only they were easier on the pocket, or on the contrary, if my pockets were a bit more loaded, my garage probably would have nothing but BMW motorcycles!

You sure are becoming BMW's specialist tester, and reviewer in India. I think it's high time BMW honours your efforts on the same, and gifts you a BMW bike of your choice

                    .....Simba

Thanks Simba for the kind words.

And you know what my choice of bike from the BMW stable would be!

Very nice pictures. Have to say they successfully tempted me to read the review too.

I thought, "so a normal looking bike from BMW?", then I saw the baboon butt tail lamps....doh!

BMW is different... unconventional... other than on the S1000RR of course... which tries to stick to convention, but still gets ahead!

Kenda: how do you manage to do these stuff in midst of your busy schedule & that too a brilliant review? From your word, seems like THE BEST tool for touring for guys who are not cruiser lover (by style) & would like to have a "Sports Bike" in their garage.
Hassle free, good FE touring Big bike. May I have that kind of money someday so that my wife stops complaining being a pillion on my 220

                              Kudos da.

Well, the turn signals are indeed beautiful. But the brake lamp is so red and 'shapely' and appears so abruptly out of the nowhere of black, that it flashes images of a baboon's ass in my head. My curse.
