@MG - sorry sir , but i was not able to find the relevant answer for my doubt regarding the faired version .. i just dont want to feel that i have bought a second best pulsar when the faired pulsar gets launched ..

130/60 is definitely not available in the market. You need to do a lot of trial and error for your desired mod, I think a 140/60 can be fiited minus the rear tyre tugger. The other mod that you can go for is the chopping of a mm or two from the rider seat and it is very much possible. Height of NS seat is quite high as compared to say a Duke200Originally posted by Speedshift View PostI guess I asked the question incorrectly.
What I mean is can I switch from the stock 130/70 to something like the 140/60 tyre of fazer/fzs as it has a lower profile and will help me gain those precious millimetres to make the ground below more in reach of my feet...
I have this thought as on my FZS I have a Pirelli sports demon at the rear which increased the saddle height quite a bit, was just hoping if the opposite can be done to NS to lower the saddle a bit although I dont know if there is a 130/60 tyre available in the market
as 140/60 might not fit due to it being broader....

At 10k soft cut happens and the vehivle does not go beyond 11k rpm.Originally posted by Ivin View PostGreat write up. At what rpm, does the rev-limiter kick in on this bike?

when is the faired version expected to launch ? how much would be the price difference ?
would there be any changes on its engine specs ?I already replied it. See below.Originally posted by princesirohi View Posthmmnn... i would also love to know the answers.
BUT i know mods will brilliantly skip this.
STILL its a requet plz give us an indication of what to expect and when...approximately.

Please confirm.
What I meant is that you can carry more speed but you still be more composed on a R15 because of its riding posture because its tailormade for that purpose. On a NS you seat pretty tall as compared to R15Originally posted by doctorque View PostIn simple terms a Bajaj Pulsar gave you more confidence to carry higher speed in a corner compared to a Yamaha R motor bike. That really says a lot.
Handling will go for a toss and there are very few options in 16" in the marketOriginally posted by Speedshift View PostKindly suggest as to what can be the drawbacks with this kind of change, if any, and what are the options available in terms of lower profile tyres if the above mentioned idea is a go....

Lower Profile Tyres......???
I will be getting my NS delivered on monday. Yesterday I took a test drive of the bike here in Delhi at Deewan Bajaj before booking and found the bike just a bit tall. I'm 5'7''. I was wondering if replacing the rear tyre with a lower profile one would be of any help....??
Kindly suggest as to what can be the drawbacks with this kind of change, if any, and what are the options available in terms of lower profile tyres if the above mentioned idea is a go....
Thanx in advance...

That says a lot MG.Originally posted by MG View Post
I'm no pro in cornering but I could carry more speeds in NS over R15 both while entering and exiting a corner in Lavasa. I repeat handling is the best thing in this bike and rest everything comes after that.
In simple terms a Bajaj Pulsar gave you more confidence to carry higher speed in a corner compared to a Yamaha R motor bike. That really says a lot.
Now i cannot wait to ride an NS and see for myself, simply because no other motor cycle has ever instilled as much confidence in me as a R15.
But then we are different riders.

All the talk related to coolant amazes me, how Bajaj has been introducing new gizmos to Indian bikers and making it a house hold name. Things like, Digital meters , Steel Braided brake hoses, Oil Cooler radiator, rear Disc Brakes, Projector headlamps, split seats, Fuel Injection, 55W all DC electrical, the list goes on.
It's not that Bajaj was the first, but Pulsar made it common.
Few years back for an average Indian joe either "liquid cooling" was unheard of, or was out of his budget. I'm sure 5 years down the lane, liquid cooled engines will as common as rear disc brakes. Thanks to Bajaj!

Yes it has been tested in a similar way

Thanks for the clarification.Originally posted by MG View PostWhen you are filling the coolant from the cap end open the other end of the radiator. Let the coolant fill till the time it oozes out from the other end. This ensures that all the air inside the radiator is now out and there are no air pockets inside the radiator.
Another question regarding coolant replacement.
Can we top up the coolant of a new brand without draining out the old brand? Or do we have to do it like the engine oil change(draining out the existing one, and topping up with the new brand.
