    very nice write up MG.
From touring point of view p220 better than p200ns?
when is the faired version expected?
    Any reliability glitches till now?

my guess will see a locally made Fully Faired NS, much before bajaj comes up with the SS version
Yes, I agree, Before Bajaj can, somebody would come with an after market fairing for 200 ns, lets wait and watch

    Comparison and Evolution of Pulsars

When I look back.. 10 years.. Pulsar has come of ages.

It all began with Pulsar 150cc & 180cc. Back then, the competition of Pulsar150 was with CBZ... Soon came the Karizma and Pulsar 180 was compared with Karizma.

Pulsars evolved and as they moved ahead, they had new competitors... Unicorn, Apache et al. Pulsars evolved and superseded competition in lot of areas.

Pulsars further evolved and got competition from Yamaha and Suzuki. There also Pulsars managed to gain vote and people's heart.

And We have now significantly more number of Pulsar fans in India than Any other bike ever existed. Yes competition did beat pulsars in several areas.

Come 2012, and Pulsars are again ahead of the pack. 10 years back people compared Pulsars with some Indian products... today Pulsar is being compared with Indian Track King bike - R15 and Honda CBR. Some of the iconic products in world.

In my 10 years of biking I have never seen a single brand being compared to so many products in Indian market. And thats something amazing.

Analogy is.. Every smartphone is compared with Apple Iphone

Comparison has Evolved... Pulsar has evolved. And this is a Vicious Circle.

World is the Stage.. Bajaj .... go go go..

currently have r15v1 since 2.5 years.. i like razor sharp handling, good suspension for spirited driving, brakes as good as i have been used to on the r15, basically a good sorted out bike..
R15 has a more sit in feel than NS. Rest whatever you have mentioned for R15 you will get in NS.

Quality & reliability are two different things. Yamaha provides the best quality among all manufacturers, KTM is also there but they have just started. Reliability is same for almost all the manufacturers.
The whole purpose of any testing is to thrash the bike in real world to see whether the bike is able to take all the torture and this bike fared very well minus some small irritants which were corrected for production

Because BAL knows that people will not trust him for huge cc and expensive bikes so they followed a safe approach and made very good and affordable product so that the next time when they launch something big like 350 cc, people can't say " its bajaj i can't trust it" ,because 200 ns will be there to prove bajaj's quality.

Exchange is always there, go to the showroom and ask them but you will get less than the least possible amount for your bike so its better to sell your bike somewhere else. In my case showroom was giving 30 k for my 2009 avenger but i easily sold it for 50 k.

I actually preferred the old hugger to the new non-functional one. Functionality scores more brownie points than looks.

Quite right, still some costumers like me will prefer naked version over the faired one for hassle free ride in city and slightly more performance.
